Hey there. Looking for a cheap system that has at least the console, controller, hard drive, and headset. Looking at differences between brand new or a refurb or a used. Not looking to spend more really than $150 for the whole thing. Thanks everyone!

Well... If you max price point is $150, you are going to have to go refurb/used, which if you look at other posts, is not recommended by this crowd for the most part (me included). My suggestion is to go to either Ebay or Craigslist and work from there. For new, I think the best you can do is around 200+ from what I have seen lately.

Yeah man, you would really be better off to save for a month and then watch the holiday deals. Saving yourself, say, $75 isn't worth getting the RROD and not being able to get it replaced! Warranty is a definite need when buying an XBOX.

I have two, one arcade bought about 11 months ago and one Elite bought about a month ago. No problems out of either one. But having bought new and kept my receipt I don't have to worry that I will be out the money if they do mess up.

Peace of mind is worth more than a few bucks saved.
