FYI the economist would not consider themselves a left-leaning newspaper - if anything, their firm espousal of free trade and small government puts them in the conservative camp. Just goes to show how much you know.

The economist is for the rich elites and intellectual conservatives/libertarians. Just look at the advertisements in the magazines... The fact that people call this a leftist publication shows how far to the right this country is (usa)

You're not going to get "shipping confirmation" for a magazine, most likely. These are order confirmations.

Yeah, I got what is called the "final" confirmation, which is the confirmation u get after the first confirmation, immediately after u submit the order. It took about a day to happen though...

But my sister is a member of NEA (her union takes out $100 out of her monthly paycheck to pay for services like this) so the rep was able to re-process my free order of the Economist using her NEA member ID.

I got an initial email immediately after I placed the order. In the initial email, they said I would receive a confirmation email very promptly.
A few days later, I got the confirmation email.

I haven't gotten any magazines in yet and I ordered it on October 20. I got the first e-mail saying the order has been processed, but never got the final confirmation e-mail. Does this mean I won't be receiving the subscription?
