Hey everyone, this is my first request in the find a deal forum. I'll try to be as detailed as possible, as I don't know what gauge or wattage speaker wire would be best. I just finished mounting my 7.1 surround sound setup, and need get the speakers wired up. I'm in an apartment, so running wires through the walls is not an option. In my research I found that you can get flat speaker wire with adhesive backing which would work perfect, but I can't seem to find a good source for a good price.
Below is some info on the setup.
I have a Sony 7.1 Receiver (Model: STR-DG820) wired to the following Boston Acoustic Horizon Line speakers; 2 HS-450 Tower Speakers, 3 HS-225 LCR speakers, 2 HS-40 shelf speakers and 1 HPS-10SE Subwoofer in the following configuration.
The Tower speakers are setting on the ground to either side of the television. The sub is also on the ground to the side of the set. The TV is mounted at about 6 1/2 Feet high at the center. The front center channel is mounted just below the ceiling and just above the television. The side HS-225's are mounted about 6 feet up. And the rear shelf speakers are mounted at about 5 feet.
Top down view:
[HS-450] -- [HPS-10SE] -- 2Ft -- [HS-225] -- 2Ft -- [HS-450]
apx. 6ft from front row to side speakers
[HS-225] --------------------- [12Ft] ------------------------ [HS-225]
apx. 12ft from side speakers to rear row
[HS-40] ----------------------- [12Ft] -------------------------- [HS-40]
Anyhow, i'm sure thats more than enough info for now. Thanks in advance for the help everyone!
