Hello, Would anybody know how to clone my cellphone to use the straighttalk service. Say I purchase a straighttalk cellphone, it has a unique wireless ID right? So would there be a way to have my pre-existing non-straighttalk cellphone programmed to match the ID of the straighttalk cellphone I purchase? I really need to get a better plan, I have ATT and the lowest plan of $45/mo. but I get charged for whenever I use text messages in&out ....I will be able to have my cellphone unlocked, it is a W580i. If anybody has figured it out please save me from ATT!!!

I may be wrong, but I believe that since this service is owned by Tracfone, they use the Verizion Wireless Network, so you would need an unlocked CDMA phone, not a GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) phone. As far as activating the phone on Straighttalk's network, I have no idea if they have all the specific info and can block other carrier's handsets if they're unlocked. Good luck though!

StraightTalk forces you to use their phones only.
PagePlus though doesn't and uses the same network as StraightTalk, as they both use the Verizon Network.
You must have a CDMA phone though, and AT&T uses GSM, so you would not be able to use an AT&T phone.
