Repost? Rep/Credit issue?

I've noticed a lot of people here in SD post deals past midnight since most deals like newegg, amazon, etc starts around that time. When morning times comes people tend to repost some deals that has been posted around midnight and they seem to get all the credit for it.

I've seen some weird stuff, like a person who posted a deal around midnight gets like two thumbs down while some other people repost the very same deal and get like 4 thumbs up in the morning.

I've noticed the thumbs up and thumbs down transfers to the original thread when reported repost to the mods. I was wondering if there is a way to transfer the reps? It seems kinda unfair for the person who got 2 thumbs down and no reps while the other person who reposted the deal gets like 4 thumbs up and a few/lot of reps.

Just an suggestion because I've been on both sides before and I know how it feels....I know some people are crazy about reps and some people are not. I just believe the first person to post should get all the credit and not the person who repost.

Reps are not redeemable for cash. Why bother messing with transferring reps? A sack full of reps and $5 will get you a latte at Starbucks. :cheers:

When I can trade my reps for something..I will care. While I do justify giving credit where credit is due, transferring reps around is asking for a whole lot of trouble. Just rep the original poster in addition to the one you might have already repped that reposted..that's normally what I do.
