We were discussing this in another thread recently and the general opinion
now is that Teen Freeway is a phishing site. They harvest your info and then
link you to deals from other companies that may or may not be active. :(

That's why the thumbs down.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but what exactly do you mean by harvesting your info? I've been signed up with them for a while now and really haven't noticed anything fishy going on...
TIA.

Hmmmm.... As long as the item I've requested was an item that wasn't a "5 lucky teens will win this" type thing, I've ALWAYS received the item.

i have to agree that Teen Freeway is a road to spam. When I signed up, I got barraged with an incredible amount of spam. I spent some time blocking domains, many of which were the same words, shifted around. The freebies aren't worth it, IMO.

I've gotten a few things for dd, she got chandelier earrings once. When I click the link its says they ran out..if they were phishing for info they'd take it , not tell you their out

Their Privacy Policy (http://www.teenfreeway.com/newdesignfiles/privacy_clr.htm)

There's nothing phishy that stands out but there's some loopholes. I guess the
data they make you fill out before passing you off to a legit deal is stored but if
they have an agreement with a company for advertising the deal then read the
fine print on TF's data collection page first. Their About Us section has no info
about them at all.

I guess that's why all the thumbs down plus it seems to be hit and miss with
many users. If I'm overly suspicious, please knock me upside the head and
tell me to sit down. :O

Yeah, I can understand where you're coming from. It's just the idea of other companies getting and keeping your info for marketing purposes?
Unfortunately, that's the case for a TON of freebies..
