The title says it all. List something about yourself that other SDers would find surprising. It must be a real thing about you.
For an example:
Iconian could say he once wrote a sentence that was grammatically correct and all the words were spelled correctly.
If that were a true statement, I would find it surprising.
I'll go first...
I have flown a plane.

I pretty much hate sunshine... I work indoors in a dark room and only go outside to get to the car or apartment door. Everything else can wait until the evening.

I ran a (very) small mail order sports memorabilia business (basically selling baseball cards) in high school. Don't know if that would qualify as surprising.

Not long after buying my first car, I raced my new 1987 Nissan Pulsar NX () against a friend's Honda Accord. We drove up a hill on a narrow residential street. I insisted he drive on the left side (oncoming traffic lane) and I took the right lane. We hit over 50 mph (he stayed in 1st gear; I shifted into 2nd) in an area where we should have been going about 15.
It was either that, or the time I hit 133 mph on I-15 outside of Las Vegas (and made the 90 mile drive from Vegas to Mesquite in 45 minutes), that was the dumbest thing I've done driving.

I have a passion for really really cozy pajamas or feety pajamas.
I've never farted in front of anyone in my entire life (not counting when I'm sleeping or when I was a baby, lol).
I've never gotten a speeding ticket.
Though I was pulled over by a cop a few years back because they suspected I was part of some drug ring (I was in the wrong place at the wrong time).
From age 8 to about 14 I was in over 50 pageants (my parents tried to talk me out of it actually but I loved them too much so they weren't the pageant freaky parents). I was signed by a modeling agency and modeled for different things in Florida, including a commercial for the video capsule (which obviously didn't take off, lol).
The house I lived in when I was a teenager...we all saw ghosts. We lived next to a graveyard and the houses around there all saw things. One night my door locked and started shaking violently like someone was trying to open the door. I was across the room in the bed and then the door swung open by itself.
I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REMOVE HAIR FROM MY TOES BECAUSE THERE NEVER HAS BEEN ANY.
I don't have much hearing in my right ear due to something a nurse did when I was a kid.
I'm dyslexic.
I save the stupid mother farker spiders that get in our house and take them outside. They thank me by coming back in to bite me.
My husband and I broke up when I was 4 1/2 months pregnant with our daughter and we were apart for 4 years before we got back together.
I read a book a night in the bath.
My grandparents house has a big hole in the basement that was part of the underground railroad.

I've had sex with my wife at least twice, and I can prove it with DNA samples from my children.

I've never brewed a bad batch of beer.

Congrats! I earned it about 3 months before my 18th bday, but I was the first in my Troop to earn it. No palms for me. I was running track and marching band at the time and my parents never really pushed me so I didn't work too hard for it until I realized I was close enough to actually make it. My Eagle Project Advisor was such a tough guy too, I had to keep modifying my plan to make it harder and harder. In the end it was good for me though.
There was a time in my life that I wanted to be an aeronautical engineer. . .then I met differential equations. . .:vomit:
Diff EQs was one of the math's that I was actually pretty good at, oddly. I also wanted to be an aeronautical engineer, but I was too lazy to take college seriously. I'm still working on that degree.

Yeah I had a hard time taking college seriously. I really had too much fun. . .I was lucky to get into graduate school. . .right place/right time. . .I took that seriously and got my grades up. Then it was off to Med school.

I daydream a lot. I love to make up situations in my head where I am the coolest person around. My favorite one lately was where I day dreamed I was at a wedding and everyone was dancing horribly, I went in the middle of the crowd and break danced better than anyone had ever seen. Everyone cheered and thought I was amazing. I love daydreaming.
I used to want to be an FBI agent, more specifially a criminal profiler. This was before the CSI/Law & Order/Bones hype.
I once was the proud owner of a wild field mouse. My Mom & Step-Dad were in court for an accident my Step-Dad was in at work (long story, almost died, horrible) and a mouse was running around. My Mom caught it and brought him home and we kept him in a hamster cage with a wheel. His name was Justice and he was the cutest little guy.
I was very nieve teenager. I went through my "crazy college girl" phase early. At one point I tresspassed on someone's property twice with a friend and stole something. We even dressed like robbers and put face paint on. I was a farking stupid girl back then, I really like to think I have grown up, matured and become a good person. I am thankful everyday that I wasn't too horrible, never got into drugs, never hurt anyone physically, wasn't sent to jail and that my family knows nothing of my "wild" ways.
My favorite month is not December.
I am not an adult film star or aspiring one.

Haha, along those same lines, I like to think of weird situations and how I would get out of them, or how life would have to change to accommodate it.
One is if it suddenly snowed 12 feet overnight and there was no chance that the temperatures would rise above 20 degrees for at least two weeks. How would I clear the snow to somehow make a trek to a food store to get some basics? It was a surprise to everyone, so it's not like people could stock up for this sort of thing. I only have one window that I'd be able to climb out of that wouldn't have been completely blocked by snow. Driving probably isn't an option, because how would the township be able to plow 12 feet?
Or another favorite is what if gravity on earth suddenly changed to match the gravity of the moon? Would "jumping" to work be an alternative method of transportation? I'd imagive if you drove over a branch or other object it would be tough to control your vehicle. Maybe rollerblading or biking would be the best bet in this case. I'm sure the roads would probably quickly pile up with accidents. I'd have to worry about my dog being able to jump the fence, so I'd probably have to build a bigger one or keep him on a leash at all times. What if life finally adjusted to the new gravity, and then it went back to the way it was before? That would totally suck.

So which is cooler, Girl Scouts or Rainbow for Girls?
And which one produces hotter, sexier bisexual women?
Girl Scouts
I was invited to Rainbow Girls...attended one meeting...it scared the hell out of me. I never went back. :shake:

I skimmed that a little too quickly the first time and thought "bethel" was a different word...
 Well with me and my best girl friends, the other word is still pretty appropriate.
:rofl2: Don't ask, it's kinda hard to explain. Its for young/teenage girls, usually daughters of Masons or friends of other Rainbow Girls..
I was a Rainbow Girl...I was in every station, and the Head of my Assembly..:whee: I left at 15 when I finished being Worthy Advisor. I still have my Gavel..:teehee:

I am a perfectionist at heart and have a strong attention to detail. I pay attention to everything around me and have a tendency to look for things that may stick out out of the ordinary. When it comes to people, I would notice the slightest changes in mood by their emotions and actions.

i saw a HUGE ASS meteor fall from the sky one night (or morning) at 2 am.
i lived WAY in the boonies and the sky was pitch black because there's no street lights. i was in the living room staring out the big wall of windows we had when i saw it falling so slowly. i've seen shooting starts before, but those were so tiny. this was so close! its was truly an amazing sight. it must have landed in the ocean since i was only a couple miles away.
this is almost what i saw...

Rocky Horror Picture Show is NOT one of my favorite movies but I have seen it at least 200 times.

I am deeply interested in the Paranormal. I would give anything to join up with Jay and Grant from Ghost Hunters and explore "haunted" places with them. The closest I got was going on a Haunted Lighthouse tour which was boring and stupid.
