I presume that you are trying to do a PM with someone with a further 10% discount due to PM. Most retailers and others (web sites only) will not do a PM with "Amazon.com". Best Buy - will not PM a deal if they do not make any money - costs them more then their price (no matter what they advertise). Sears has fine print PM policy, but you must have a retailer selling that product within the store's local area.
The blu-ray player is a good model and the TV is a good one.

Even though you may not want the Blu-ray player, it is a good deal. The TV is a reliable Sony model (I own a 52V4100) and though I would like to own a better model, it works fine, it just doesn't have the whistles that have been coming out lately. If you do not own a blu-ray player you are getting a very good one. The next sony model down has been going for about $138 from Frys (B&M).

It's not my fault that people were so eager to give a thumbs down just because I didn't have details to begin with because I'm still learning how to do this. I wanted to see if it was a good deal before I posted an official one so now no one will look at this post because it already has bad ratings...it's a shame because to me...it's a good deal but I wanted other opinions. I've been watching this combo for a while now and the closest I've seen was about $1,000. I don't see how it could get any cheaper and the reason why it is...is because Sony is running specials on their HDTVs this month. I also didn't want to got to BB and pay 6% sales tax on it. Plus BB won't sell that for that cheap...just like someone else mentioned they won't match if it brings the price down to cost. Plus I wasn't aware that BB would match Amazon....not a lot of retailers would be willing to do that due to the price flucuations.

You can repost it now with correct links etc. This thread was moved out of Hot deals, so essentially it has not been posted yet.

It seems that amazon went in to BF mode, posted Sony HDTVs combo deals with cheaper prices and differing combos including the PS3 option (check other threads). Whatever Scotty, you started people reviewing.
Also, only in a few cases has BestBuy tried to price match and at only a few locations. In my area, I tried one Best Buy and basically got told, no. Another one got a price match on a terrible deal; of course, best would PM - they made a bundle off the person who had second thoughts and posted the deal.
