hi mods
I have been a part of SD community for quite some time now. I just crossed the threshold of 100 rep points yesterday. I noticed that my name comes bold and I can give NRep points as well.
Are there any other benifits associated with reaching 100 rep points? I could not find any info. on this topic. Please lemme know.
Thanks,
Max.
I guess that is all, did not see any other so far

neg reps and having your name show up as bold are the only benefits AFAIK.

The info packet explaining the benefits should be arriving in a few days. Make sure someone is home to receive it, because FedEx won't leave it otherwise.

Folks, don't let them trick you!
The mods get a 2-week all-expense paid vacation every year. Last year it was in Hawaii. This year it's in Italy (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=1988125&postcount=11), but they told Lux it was Tahiti (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=1988138&postcount=12), to trick him and test his geocaching skills.
Anyway, if you have 100 rep points, you get to go for the first week of the mods' vacation.
The mods divide up the group into teams and then they compete for prizes, like plasma tvs, 2GB thumb drives, lifetime subscription to Knitting Today magazine, dinner and dancing w/ Angelina Jolie, etc..
I've heard that the really good stuff is on the second week (visits from celebrities, one-on-one w/ Bill Gates to advise him on strategy, college loan repayment, etc.).

don't forget, everynight when they get their beds turned, they get a goody bag full of freebies that came from kelly's forum. they sit around the fire and brainstorm on how they can delete/merge posts, handle controversial members, etc..

I'm pretty sure that your reps are worth double once you go bold
One question I've never seen answered...
when someone new reps you and it shows up as grey...does it turn green and count once their time is in and they are able to give green (counting) reps?

No, they do not necessarily double unless you have been here a certain length of time.
My reps are still only worth ONE because I've only been here a few months.

He's correct. :nod:Thanks!
The reason I thought differently is that some time ago my rep count rose a couple of times for no apparent reason (no new reps listed under UserCP). I assumed the increments were related to grey-to-green transitions, but apparently not.

Yes. If you are curious about them, you can search this forum under Reputation Points.
