I have been invited to participate in a book club with my friends, and I wanted to extend the invitation to the slickdeals community. The first 6 people to PM me their info can join! :woot:

I will mail you these instructions:

This is an informal book club. There is no money involved, so it's legal and fun!

Please send a paperback book that you have already enjoyed to the person listed on the back of this letter. There is no need to box the book you mail, a mailing envelope is fine. In time, you will receive 36 books to read. It will be interesting to see which books you receive and where they come from. You might find a new favorite author!

Copy this letter and send it to 6 different people, but do not send them a book.

Please put my address label on the back of each of your letters. It is helpful if you enclose your own address labels as I have done, so your friends will have the labels to stick on their letters. I have been told there is seldom a drop by anyone because you only have to mail one book.

Turn this letter over to find the recipient of your book.

Thank you and enjoy all of your books....Happy reading!

How do they get a top hat and tails to stay on there? :scratchh:Dewey really have to discuss this again? The requirement to have those is not binding.

I apologize for the puns in this thread; I didn't mean to jacket.

Sorry for making this thread spiral downward.

Yeah, see, the problem with this is, people don't follow through. You won't be getting 36 books. You'll be lucky to get 3, if that. Most people get nothing, or close to it.

Aren't you in Europe somewhere? I'm enjoying watching evaluating your new TV.

Aren't you in Europe somewhere? I'm enjoying watching evaluating your new TV. :lol:No! I got back to the mainland on the 13th. Now I'll be here till early November. Then back to my little grass shack.

I expect a full evaluation of the tv. Complete with pie charts and flow charts and whatever other type of colorful graphs that are relevant. Or not relevant, if they're funny. I am quite fond of graphjam, you know. :)
