Thought people would be interested in doing this since this is the season of giving, not cost to you, just a little bit of work to make the day of someone in the military.

http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html

The mission of Let's Say Thanks is to provide a way for individuals across the country to recognize U.S. troops stationed overseas. By submitting a message through this site you have the opportunity to send a free personalized postcard greeting to deployed servicemen and women.

The postcards, depicting patriotic scenes and hometown images, were selected from a pool of entries from children across the country.

All you have to do is click on your favorite design and either select the message that best expresses your sentiment or draft a personal note. The postcards are then printed on the Xerox iGen3® Digital Production Press and mailed in care packages by military support organization Give2TheTroops®.

Xerox is committed to helping people across the nation express their gratitude to our troops overseas. The launch of this program is aimed at reminding them how much Americans appreciate their service.

Moderators: Any chance that this can be posted on your front page as a public invitation? I don't need to get any credit for this. Just seems like a nice thing to do.

The postcards are drawn by children and are very cool. Just pick one out, enter your name and hometown, add a message (either your own or one of theirs) and it’s on it’s way.

Badass!

When I was in Iraq, we got some random letters from kids and it really brightened up our day to read them. :)

Take a minute and thank a solider for your freedom@@@ Geesh..it's pathetic to see more thumbs and reps for a free 1/4 oz. sample of lotion than than for this post! Going to forward the link to a few friends in high places since nobody else wants to stop and take a few minutes out of their day from buying cheap Chinese garbage to show a little bit of appreciation!

Love hearing that! I'm a (first year) teacher and I had my students send cards. Will definitely continue to do so.

Thanks for all the reps, but those aren't what mattered to me.

I'm just glad that so many of you sent cards - I truly can't even imagine how awful it must be to be away from home, not knowing when (or if ) you will be coming home.

It would be nice if there was a similar site for the families. Thanks for sending this around! I know the troops will appreciate it.

Thanks! I remember doing something like this on WWE.com a few years ago and my note was actually posted!

only takes a minute of your time to send a printed card for free to a Soldier to thank them for their service.
