I know that slickdeals has a policy against referrals and I completely understand why posts of this nature are not desired on the normal boards.
However, I recently signed up for sunrocket phone service and saw they offered a referral bonus which I wish could have been given to someone else on this board.
I know there are other things as well....cell phones, cable companies, etc.....which offer similar incentives and it would be nice to share these incentives with other posters when the opportunities arise.
What would everything think of creating a separate referral board where people could go and a find a fellow poster to "gift" when signing up for services which offer referral bonuses?
Like I stated initially, I really would want to keep this type of posting off of the existing boards (and the mods do a great job of this).....however, it just seems that a lot of money, free services, and other incentives could be shared among members of this board if there was a place to network referrals.

If you fully understand the reasoning behind it then why even make this posts theres plenty of sites that allow you to post referrals (if your the first person to make the post). Anything that your physically gaining from is not allowed on this board.

People are sneaky. They will post a crappy deal and make it look super hot with a referral attached to it (They won't tell it is a referral). If everyone does this...we will have the board full of crap.
Creating a separate forum would change the rules, allowing ppl to post referral. Since no one will check the forum really... people will start posting in other forums knowing ppl will check and the thread will later get move. You see... a lot of work.

This issue has been brought up many times before. Mr. SD doesn't have any intent to change our referral policy. You are more than welcome to find another board that welcomes referrals if you wish to share your finds.
