View Full Version : Link followed in original tab AND new tab when I CTRL-click in mozilla

When I CTRL-click on a forum post or thread from the list, the new tab opens, AND the old tab follows the link too.
This doesn't happen when I right-click and choose "Open in new tab".
I'm guessing this has to do with the "onclick" function you use, though I've never seen this behavior anywhere else (probably because most sites using "onclick" use only the javascript, so you can't CTRL-click them).
It's not a big deal, just odd behavior that negates the value of the shortcut.

If your mouse has the buttons (two buttons and a clickable scroller) just click on the link with the scroller, it'll open it in a new tab. If your mouse only has two buttons, click on the link with both, left and right, buttons at the same time, and it'll open it in a new tab....
Hope this helps

Nope, I'm using a laptop with a touchpad right now (my wireless mouse chews through batteries like Doritos). No clickable scroller, and clicking both just follows the link on the same tab.
Thanks for trying, though.
