I eat food, and often get up in the morning, sometimes I sleep at night, when I'm not doing laundry I'm wearing nicer clothes than when I am doing laundry. Sometimes when I am thinking I think about things that I don't normally think about, then I take a break by sleeping or eating again. I like the warm weather better than the cold weather, but I am normally in cold weather so often I am thinking about the warm weather. I have fish that are on a strict meal schedule. I like fish, but not as much as I like warm weather, so if I could trade my fish for warm weather I probably wouldn't because it wouldn't be fair to the fish. I put them on the meal schedule I don't think anyone else would be responsible enough to handle. I guess this wouldn't matter unless you could control the weather and with 3 weathermen on 3 different channels controling the weather I can understand why it is always raining, they must have bought a farm together somewhere. If they do have a farm I'm positive they wouldn't be able to keep up with the meal schedule of my fish. That is who I am. -Davemon

I do not think this thread will slowly sink to the bottom even if people look at it. Threads seem to stay at the front because of number of replies over a given time or if oni makes them a "sticky". I do not know if that is true, but if it is then this thread will probably not sink to the bottom because there are a finite number of possible posts, that is if everyone sticks to 1 per person but that does not matter since Oni made it a "sticky". Editing does not seem to revive a thread, so we can continue to edit but the thread will not slowly sink into the sea of forgotten threads.

I'm Ryan, I work for a crappy company putting out racing wheels. I get up in the morning to see my fiance off to college, then go to my computer and log on Slickdeals for a while, then back to bed until noon. I go to work at 1500 CST and don't get off until 0015 CST. I get one 15 minute lunch break for 9 hours of work. I come home and hop on the computer until aprox 0200-0300 CST and then go to bed.

I love computers, I like breaking them, fixing them, tinkering and owning them. I have a small lan of 4 PC's at the moment and about 8 offline computers at the moment. I have a large stock of laser printers, aprox 12 and 3 inkjets. I love collecting parts and building boxes, even if it's a 486 (have 2 right now).

I attended college majoring in Microcomputer Support (specialist), but dropped out during my 2nd year due to conflict of interests with the course (why should I work on mainframes when my course says microcomputer IE home pc/work pc's). I want to go back to college, but that is off into the future at this moment.

I blog (kinda). I started up a webhosting company, I worked in satellite broadcasting for 5 years, 1 year in dispatching semi's, 3 months doing tech support for Earthlink through West Corp, 1 year in data entry, and now almost 1 year polishing racing wheels. I hope to have a better job soon, as I hate my current job very much, due to the lack of money in my paychecks, and 1st shift people are dumbasses.

Hi, my name is Anthony and I am a chemistry and biology double major at Emory and Henry College in southwestern VA entering my third year this fall. No, not Emory University in Atlanta. I get that one a lot. Anyhow, I'm a pretty eclectic person, jack of all trades and master of a few. My newest venture is as a mobile DJ. I own a respectable sound system (1500W RMS) and a decent music collection (lost count). I can *almost* beatmix effectively, although only 2 nights of practice haven't lent me a significant amount of experience yet. :) For this summer, I'm working at Wake Forest (hey, maybe you've heard of that one) researching an enzyme that perhaps interferes with current cancer and antiviral treatments (heard of AZT before?). I am still uncertain of the career I'd like to pursue; be it a practicing physician or enter into some sort of clinical or bench research. On a more personal note, I'm addicted to caffeine, like sunny walks in the autumn woods, and generally tend to be a bit of a dreamer. I'm Melinda and I'm 41 years old. My husband and I met in high school when I was 16 and he was 17. Five years later we married. In December it will be 21 years. Yikes - that's 1/2 my life and it is hard to fathom - time has gone so quickly. I remember when my parents had their 25th anniversary in their 40's and I thought they were so old - now I realize they were in their prime.

I have three children. My oldest daughter made the Dean's list last year as a Freshman in college. :bounce: She's majoring in Political Science and History with a minor in Spanish and we couldn't be any more proud of her. In high school we thought she would be a writer for Rolling Stone magazine because she loves writing and music - things change.

My other two children are in Middle School and play travel soccer which keeps us on the road alot. They are good students like their sister and pretty much just enjoy life.

I love animals alot. We have 2 hamsters, 2 dogs, 2 rats, 3 cats, a saltwater aquarium, aquatic turtles, a beta fish and a lovebird - the hamster and the rats are my children's pets, but I tend to be the one cleaning the cages. We also live on a 14 acre lake and have a pier. Every evening I go out and feed the fish, the ducks and the occasional painter turtle. That's where I relax and think. The water churns when they eat which is really neat. My cats follow me everywhere but they don't bother with the ducks when they are priss around on the pier too.

My interests include reading, stained glass, soccer, working puzzles, foreign films, britcoms and spending time with my family.

Last of all - if I had one wish it would be the world was kinder and more caring. People are often self absorbed and it has become a "me first" world - so many people want the biggest and best for themselves and don't give alot of thought about fairness or feelings of others in their efforts to obtain it. Brian Williams said it really well when he said (and I paraphrase) that all of the families who's lives were devastated by Hurricane Katrina were every bit as important as his. He was expressing his opinion about the slow response of aid - particularly for the impoverished. It shouldn't matter how much a person makes or what their assets are - everyone deserves the same consideration and compassion and an opportunity. I am not a particularly religious person but my grandmother used to say "There but for the grace God go I" and that has always resonated with me. Compassion, hardwork and accepting responsibilty for your actions are key ingredients to finding happiness. This is the lesson I teach my children and live by.

I pay dues to an organization that begins with M.

I jog a lot with my dog. Also bike a lot, and used to xcountry before my hip got manged in a car accident. It's always been strange that since then I can do some things fine and others not. But I'm fit and trim. And should do a lot more things than I do do.

People pay me way too much for what I do; with some smarts they could do the same thing for themselves. But I do a good job at what I do. All I hear are compliments and I don't need to advertise. I like that it's OK to take a week or whatever off whenever, being single makes travel very easy and I stay either at good hotels or a hostel. I used to have a wife, but she's not around anymore. Life was good. Still is good but not the same.

This is a great site but if I let it, takes up too much time.
