I check this site at least a few times daily and have saved lots of money. However, I have noticed that there are some deals that make it into the Slick Deals forum from companies that have bad track records and everyone constantly complains about in the forums. I believe that the moderators should make some sort of black list (if you are worried about lawsuits, then it doesn’t have to be published) of stores with bad reputations. You could even come up with some sort of criteria for adding stores to this list (i.e. number of positive vs. negative posts, ratings on other sites, etc.).

This site would be even better than it is if the users could shop knowing that all of the deals listed were from reputable companies.

Good idea. Many people don't even bother to check the store's reviews.

For example, have you seen Gateway's reviews (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2053.html) lately?

I think a good deal is a good deal. If the company that offers the good deal has a bad reputation, then a moderator or the author can include that in the post. In my opinion, most people will take caution if a warning is given about the bad reputation a company offering a deal has.

It's not a good deal if you don't end up with the product as advertised or if the company doesn't honor a MIR.

Some companies consistently have "deals" that never seem to work out and SlickDeals will post them and the users are consistently dissatisfied.

It is important to know who you are buying from. That said it is your responsibilty to research that yourself, if it is a good deal it should be posted.
