I have it up on a webscreen from about 2 hours ago, but no after refreshing, it's gone! Why would it have been deleted? I'm confused slickdeals!!!

I did a search and it does seem to be deleted. Possible reasons:
1. It was a repost (not likely or the original thread would have shown up)
2. It was moved to another forum (not likely because I searched SD's entire database)
3. The Mods got complaints and/or they felt it was not appropriate for this website (i.e. it was distasteful) (most likely IMHO)
4. Other (I don't know)
If anyone, Mod or otherwise has an answer #4, please share
Thanks!

Considering the product is a vibrator that could be a huge reason why the thread got pulled.

I just wanted to add, as the original poster of the aformentioned deal, that I was not aware that the rules regarding that sort of posting had changed. The only reason I posted it was because 1) I considered it to be a good price on the product in question and 2) I have seen many deals of that "nature" on these forums before.
As tmk44's original concern was revolved around the mod's getting complaints, if that is the case I really do appolagize.

It really wasn't a concern of mine, more like a theory. There are many very religious people who are members here and perhaps they got offended. Or maybe a Mod saw it before any ModAlert was enacted and they took it off themselves without any complaints. I personally did not complain or ModAlert it.
Your apology is accepted (at least by me) and a breath of fresh air in a society that uses excuses to absolve blame from themselves. Since you seem sincere, here is a partial list of the rules (I used bold and underline to highlight the portion I think is most relevant to this thread, although this should be read in full):
By accessing and using this site/forum, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, violate any of the listed additional rules, or otherwise violative of any laws. In addition, you also warrant that you will not hold SlickDeals.net Forums or any of its subsidiaries responsible for any post, image, or link posted from a forum member as the moderators cannot catch everything at the instance it happens.
Additional rules:
Spam, self promotion and referral links are not allowed.
No selling or trading of high value ($5+) items.
Do not discuss how to perform, elude capture, or profit from illegal activities.
Do not post nudity or graphic descriptions of sex.
Do not post links to sites with grotesque, gruesome or disgusting pictures/videos.
Do not insult/attack other users.
Do not use vulgarities & obscenities.
Do not post under the influence. ie, "Immasdm drnkkkkkk gibbbbberishdassh"
Do not taunt the mods to delete your post. If you create a thread that you know will be deleted, it will be DELETED.
Do not start threads about "why was my thread deleted." Private message a mod to resolve the issue.
Do not post inappropriate images.
Do not try to bypass the censors.
Please refrain from mentioning or linking competitive sites. If the site is censored, do not post that site.
These rules are located in the FAQ section http://forums.slickdeals.net/faq.php?faq=sd_faq_item#faq_rules_faq_item and should be read by anyone who is unfamilar with the operation of Slickdeals.
The FAQ's are quite helpful IMHO.
Happy Slickdealing!

I am not religious but I do like to share this site with my two sons (14 and 16) and vibrators and sex toys are kinda embarrassing. Thanks for the rule change.

Wow. I am pretty offended that the reason for the removal was because it was sexually orianted. Whoopty-doo! One thing that I don't understand about the country I live in is that anytime anything having to do with sex comes around, we run and hide under a bush. Some may say "it's for the children"! Well, that's just crazy. First of all, what 10-16 year old do you know that actually care about saving money on purchases, let alone waste their time looking for something cheap to buy on this website? Second of all, if a young-in is buying a vibrator, who cares?!? All the religious junkies would say "abstenence until marriage is the way to be with God".
One more thing, while I'm spouting off.....
If sexual orianted things are considered 'taboo' on slickdeals, then why can't religious products be deleted as well? I don't want to read about a buy one get one free bible deal just as much as someone who isn't comfortable with their sexuality not wanting to read about a 65% off vibrator.
Thank you and good night.

I am not going to debate politics with you in this thread or this forum (that is what the lounge and podium forums are for). But I should mention I am not even religious. All I can say in my position is that if you do not the what deals are being posted or not posted, for that matter, you could also use another deal site that accomodates to your preferences better or perhaps even start your own (in all seriousness).
If you are not happy with my answer (which I suspect), bring it up with a Mod or Mr. SD and get a response from them. They are the people who run the website, so your inquiries should be addressed to them

No worries, I appreciate what you have to say. I just had to vent my frustrations to people who would actually listen (because my husband sure doesn't care about anything I have to say!). Thanks!
PS-- FYI - I sent a PM to 3 different Mod's before I started this thread, and not one of them gave me an answer as to what happened to the post. I figured, since alot more people than 3 looked at the threads, I would get my answer by posting.
Good night! :sleepy:

In November, the Mod Team made a decision that adult toys were to no longer be allowed on the boards. Items that promote safe sex are permitted.
