I know staring a high-level member forum has already been posted several times, but I wanted to start a new poll for this unique idea.....

Since a reputation system was added to slick deals, why not have a specific forum for those who have a certain level of postive rep. In order for people to use that forum they must have a certain level of postive rep. My idea would praise the people who work the hardest finding deals and let them have access to those deals before anyone else. The forum could work like this, very slick deals would be set aside to only people who have a postive rep of 15 or higher, and after about a half-hour or a hour, the deal would be move to a forum so that every one could access those deals if they choose. I guess people could just go to other deal websites, but some deals on this website sometimes dont show up on other deal websites. This would encourage people to stop posting trash because their rep would suffer and they would never get a high rep to access the special deal forum. Good Idea?

People would start creating new accounts just to spam themselves and bring their rep up.. Then if users get "mad" at some other users for speaking what they believe is right they may suffer greatly by people posting negative rep points, even if what they posted wasn't wrong, just different. Its just plagued with problems. I don't think we need any type of VIP forums. Just contribute and be thankful for what you get.

Yeah, thats true I didnt think about all that stuff. Hmm...well you could make new member have no rep, this would prevent people from signing up to jack up their positive rep. The people who have low rep would not be able to hurt people who have a good rep. Basically, high pos rep members could influence a members rep greatly, while a person with no pos rep or a rep of 3 would have very little effect on someone's rep.

This sounds similar to a recent idea about creating a forum restricted only to members who have a certain amount of posts or higher.
