View Full Version : print topic needs to show entire thread

when I click the print topic, I should be able to see the entire thread in one long page. Not being able to do so really inhibits research of threads I've posted in and is a deterrent to looking at deals on this site versus other sites that do print topic and offer the option to show the whole thread.
this is my greatest criticism.

I changed it so that it shows 100 posts per page vs 40 before. That should be a good # of posts to display. I don't think showing the entire thread w/ 3000+ post is a good idea. Also, if you're just searching, you can do a search on that thread only via the "Search this Thread" option.

thanks. 100 is definitely an improvement over 40
I often search for partial terms (due mispellings) and entire phrases using CTRL+F and I often gain benificial information from the post directly before or (usually) after the post that has the actual search term in it, so the SEARCH THREAD function doesn't quite cut it for me because I gain from the posts surrounding the search term.
for example:
in the middle of a thread about a dvd player:
JoeBlow asks about decoding on a DVD player in one post.
and CharlieBlow answeres the question with a link to a great review, but doesn't use the "reply" or Quote" to so, and simply says look here (with a link)
I would not easily find CharlieBlow's post in the Thread Search function, but the method of CTRL+F for "decod" would bring me right to joeblows post (that has decoder in it), and I would see charlieBlow's post right after it and find the info I need quick.

Has this been changed back to 40 now? I can only see a link for "Show 40 posts from this thread on one page". Please change it to 100.
