I'm a big fan of the drive events - too bad none of them will be around my neck of the woods until July.
Most of the links don't have the dates yet, but they tend to follow the same schedules each year.

Awesome thread! Thanks!
May I suggest that we also include events that are moderately priced? (in addition to totally free ones). I remember some BMW or Lexus event back a few year ago was $40 for 2 hours or something... IMO that's well worth the $$$.

Nice of someone to round up all the links.
A couple appear to be dead or inactive at this time, Subaru, Mazda revitup, but did get registered to be notified for GM's GrabTheKeys, and the BMW one is right around the corner, registration starts the 28th of this month.

Just because you couldn't find an event that worked for you, or that would let you in:lmao: , doesn't mean it's a bad post. It means you're a bad person.

Now, on to the Mercedes AMG Performance Tour.
After checking out the Laguna Seca calendar and not seeing anything on there that would give away when and if Mercedes AMG planned on going to Laguna Seca, I decided to call Laguna Seca. The first lady said she thinks it might be in November, but she does not have an actual up to date schedule yet, she then said perhaps the lady who rents out the track knows more. I left her a message and just received a voicemail message. First she mentioned the Skip Barber AMG training class and then said, you are probably calling about the AMG event that Mercedes is putting on. She said it is scheduled for November 13th thru Nov 21st!!!!
keep the week free guys and gals in the NORCAL area.

I tried to get one for the fontana event also, but she said they can't give away the codes until all of the people actually invited rsvp'd (yes or no). If there were still spots avail after that then she said maybe. She said to call back around October. Oh well, it was worth a try...

BMW event was pretty lame. They had 3 650i convertibles (red, white, blue) that you could drive alone. They also had a few MB's and Lexus. You could drive other BMW's with a salesman.
I drove the 650i and called it a day. That car was fun. There was a printed route in the car but the guy said that if I knew the area I could drive it wherever I wanted. I kept it out for about 18 minutes.
They had bottles of water. No hats, or any other gifts. It isn't far from my work so driving the 650i was worth the trip. I'm glad is wasn't across town or anything though.
There was no sales pitch which was nice. The guy spent about 4 minutes going over the features of the car and that was it. After the drive there was a quick survey on an ipad.
I had exactly the same experience today. No free hat. I went at lunchtime and they had some nice finger sandwiches and bottled water.

I say try again maybe someone else will help you. I called they asked me if I had an invite I said no but I want one and they gave me one in less than 2 minutes for the Fontana event. I think it just depends on the person you get on the phone. Good Luck

this definitely works. I called last week but was denied, I called again today & got an invitation code! registered for the event on 12/9 at autoclub speedway :D
will be interesting to compare this to the porsche event as it looks like this event will use a LOT more of the track.

Looks like 50% it is - a coin flip on if you get the mag. or not. However, for someone who wants the mag., perhaps they can call the Porsche (maybe the same # as used for the event) and request a complimentary subscription to "Christophorus" mag.

if you are going to be in Carmel on August 20th drivinbg either the Porsches or the land Rover, you might want to check this out in Monterey, although it might not be much to look at?? got this in my email:::
Concours d'LeMons Monterey: Free Show, Handier Venue
(Though even free, it's probably overpriced.)
Seaside CA--In these rating-downgraded times, access to the Concours d'LeMons (Saturday, 20 August at Seaside City Hall) has been re-priced to reflect what it's worth: nothing. So come celebrate the end of irrational exuberance with the show that honors the oddball, mundane, and truly awful of the automotive world in good conscience; you'll still have your last 20 bucks for one shrimp at the The Quail.
Monterey Weekend's most tetanus-inducing event has also moved to a handier venue this year: Just two blocks off Hwy 1 at the Seaside/Del Rey Oaks/Rt 218 offramp. (Laguna Grande Park, right in front of Seaside City Hall. Take Exit #403, head away from the water, and stop when you start feeling itchy.)
As always, LeMons racecars receive two Get Out of the Penalty Box cards for attending. All other miserable hoopties get to enjoy not being another dumb 308. Tommy Bahama hats, polishing diapers, and passive-aggressive "Please Nicht Ger-Touchen" signs will be confiscated at the gate.
What: Concours d'LeMons 2011
When: Saturday 20 August, 9-ish to 3-ish
Where: Seaside City Hall/Laguna Grande Park (exit #403 off Highway 1) Contact:

Just got back from the events.
There were so many events going on around the Monterey area. Outside the Pebble Beach area & around Carmel they had Porsche, another Land Rover, & I think I also saw signs for a BMW test drive event.
I got hung up @ the main events going on inside Pebble Beach so I missed my appoint for my Porsche drive event, which was located outside Pebble Beach, & they were fully booked with people waiting 2+ hours to test drive them by the time I got there. I did spend a little bit of time to check out some of their cars, got some food / drinks, & took their Porsche video game driving simulation challenge. I did notice that they were giving away the same USB flash drives that we got @ the last Porsche event if you filled out an exit survey after your drive.
Inside Pebble Beach there were Land Rover, Jaguar, Porsche, Infiniti, Lexus, Cadillac, Hyundai, Lotus, & Saab all with their own lounge areas set up. May have been other manufacturer's also that I missed. Land Rover, Jaguar, Infiniti, Lotus, & Saab all had test drives. Also saw several Ferrari's, Lambo's, Massaratti's, Bentley's, Roll's, & various other unique vehicles such as Fisker, McLaren, & various prototypes.
I also saw several Mercedes SLS AMGs with dealer plates being driven on the roads. Not sure it they were doing test drives on those or they were just the manufacturer / dealer's people driving them.
Needless to say there were lots of classic cars & lots of people were driving their own high-end cars.
Also heard someone there say that yesterday Jay Leno made an appearance.
Overall it was a good day spent.

That was truly one of the most fun events I have ever been to. I originally signed up for Range Rover's Evoque and honestly they were great. Got to test drive there new model and also they gave everyone who test drove a 2 gb flash drive in the shape of a Range Rover car remote. Right next to them was Jaguar and they let you test drive every single car in their line up especially the XKRS. I test drove the XF and the XJ whereas my gf drove the XKRS and the XF. I was doing about 70-80 in the inner streets which was amazingly fun. They gave out little tote bags with a poster.
Lexus had their own area which didnt let you drive anything but they were giving out free booze which were champagne with absinthe balls and also mojitos and also some kind of strawberry jam concoction they made. The best was whisky they actually smoked on sight. They also had an area where you could take a picture and it made you look you were from the 1920's with a leather hat and goggles while driving around a bend. Infiniti let you drive their IPL lineup but I was there pretty late and couldn't get an opportunity to. They were giving out free food which was great. Lotus was also giving out test drives of their new Evora S which at the time I got there it was too late (boo).
All in all it was a great day. Everything was free (except the entrance fee to 17 mile drive which was $9.50) and had a fun time driving some nice cars.
Supposedly Steven Spielberg also attended.

- Maybach 57S test drive (opted to be chauffeured)
Other than Porsche and Land Rover, everything was walk-up registration. Bugatti also had test drives, but I didn't bother as they probably had requirements.
* Sat in: Pagani Huayra, Lamborghini Aventador, amongst other cars.
Plenty of cars to see as the third week of August is car week in Monterey/Carmel/Pebble Beach.

Everything was free (except the entrance fee to 17 mile drive which was $9.50) and had a fun time driving some nice cars.
You should have told the guard you were there for the test drive events. They would have let you in for free. I was able to get in & out twice for no cost.

My Monterey California weekend:
* Test drive:
- Porsche Cayman S test drive, Porsche printed photo with the car I drove and USB flash
- Land Rover Evoque test drive, USB flash stick (looks like car remote)
- Jaguar XK R-S test drive, poster and magazine
- Infiniti G37 IPL test drive, free Compartes chocolate and some food
- Lotus Evora test drive
- AMG SLS test drive
- Maybach 57S test drive (opted to be chauffeured)

Just got back from the events.
There were so many events going on around the Monterey area. Outside the Pebble Beach area & around Carmel they had Porsche, another Land Rover, & I think I also saw signs for a BMW test drive event....

Dang! I'm only about a 1.5 hour drive away from Pebble Beach. I'd gotten emails from Lexus about them unveiling some cars at Pebble Beach (but they didn't seem like invitations to attend). I'd seen this thread earlier but didn't think I could get into anything without an invite. :(
I guess I'll take a risk driving during there next year.

also found out that Ford will have an event for the 2012 Focus, they will be announcing the dates and locations later this month.
""Later this month, Ford plans to launch a nationwide tour that will allow consumers to test drive a 2012 Focus through a video game-like course designed to highlight the vehicle's technology and handling.""
I guess there will be a laser on the bottom of the car in the middle and you are suppose to drive over objects on the course, if you go over the object you will hear either a guitar or crowd cheering, if you do not go over the object, you hear moans and sighs.
Check out this writeup on the event.

Not a yawn for me. I did go to one of the early Leaf events in the Seattle area in November 2010. Back then, I don't believe the car was shipping yet. Don't expect significant freebies at the Leaf events beyond cookies, water and instant coffee. The purpose was educate people on the car, its features (e.g. Carwings), infrastructure, the J1772 standard, etc. and let people drive them.
I'm considering leasing one after I know my future job situation and commute distance. (I used to have a 350Z as my 2nd car and still like performance and sports cars, but my focus has changed.)

Dear Cadillac Culinary Enthusiast,
Due to overwhelming feedback in the Miami market, the venue location for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge has changed to The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. The Galleria is a wonderful retail epicenter which will be an ideal back-drop for Cadillac to showcase its luxury vehicles and for you to enjoy an entertaining culinary battle.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change in location may have caused. To make this change as seamless as possible, your existing reservation for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge at Palm Beach Gardens will carry over to the new event location of The Galleria. There is no need for action on your end. We look forward seeing you in November at The Galleria for the Cadillac Culinary Challenge! Please visit www.cadillacchallenge.com or call 855.422.3455 for additional details or with questions.
The Galleria is located at 2414 East Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 (Phone) 954-564-1015
Thank You,
The Cadillac Events Team
Cadillac is moving their November event from the beautiful Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens to the old, lack of parking, Galleria Mall in Ft Lauderdale. No thanks.

Not that great you basically drive around a city block and that's about it. They have a few different models as well as some of the rivals models to compare against. If you are a foodie the cooking demo will most likely be more exciting then the driving portion.

Fontana is also a road course. Not sure what configuration cadillac will use, but its a very fun road course, not just an oval. CTS-V's should prob hit 155+ on the front straight! (if instructors let you I guess). Don't get me wrong, Mazda raceway is a great track too.

I guess they need to focus their marketing dollars on other things. Lets hope next year they bring it back even though from what I remember some people saying on here, that it wasn't that good or that competitor cars were better than the GMs at the event i.e. Regal vs. TSX.

I'm at the Evoque event in Santa Monica right now. Its in an airplane hangar. They have their full marketed line on display, some fancy finger foods, lots of fruit juice served by a female bartender thats getting talked up right now. Will report back on the actual drive later. BTW the Evoque is really small, Its probably the same size as a Mini Countryman

Sounds cool I am going in the morning let me know how the driving portion is.
Here's my update:
Car:
Pretty cool, has good power/torque. I would consider buying it if I was in the market. The interior is definitely class leading to look out but some of the dash materials weren't up to the same standard as the regular Range Rovers. It doesn't feel big, but it isn't that big of a car. I loved how you could hear the turbo spooling with the windows down :D.
Driving Event:
It was only 10 minutes long. In Santa Monica you're going through neighborhoods the whole time so you can't get it past 40mph. There is a 1 minute "off road course" at the end that was more fun than the neighborhood drive. You get a 2GB USB drive that looks like a key fob at the end. Drinks were solid, lots of different real fruit juices. Food was ok, some desserts (e.g. cookies, chocolate) and seafood finger foods.
Verdict:
Cool car, poor event. The biggest complaint was the lack of driving time. They only had 3 guides so they could only take 3 people out at a time even though they had 7 cars out. If you miss your appointment figure to wait at least 30 minutes.

If you don't live nearby don't waste your time. I went this morning no sandwiches or anything as mentioned above just some little cupcakes, juices and coffee. Ride was not even 10 minutes long and through residential areas. You'd be lucky to hit 40mph.
Event is Ok at best although the Evoque does seem like a nice vehicle.

I went yesterday afternoon. The drive wasn't "fun", but definitely the way most potential buyers will be driving it- in a suburban environment. Kinda cool to do the terrain in the hanger. Anyway, I did like the small foods (filled up on them), though the 2(?) GB was kind of cheap, but most makers nowadays have cut their marketing budgets a lot so it's understandable. The vehicle itself was nice.
It was funny that the guide mentioned that many of the folks coming to the event were from the Pasadena area. I myself am Asian, and noticed quite of few of us...Unless you're just coming to drive the Range Rover, it probably wasn't worth the drive. Afterwards, I went into Venice to spend time walking on the boardwalk since it was close by in the area so it made the trip worthwhile. I will be back in the area in two weeks to check out some art stuff.

I was at Santa Monica too, it was an OK event but not quite worth the 40 minute drive for me from Arcadia. The car itself was alright but doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the LandRover lineup, also I noticed it starts only $4K lower than the LR4, I'd think I would have rather spent more on that (although the fuel mileage is decent to boot).
Now I'm looking forward to the Cadillac CTS-V in Fontana, long wait until December!

Something along those lines. I've gotten 3 or 4 of them, I think from 2 different people but they're at the same dealer. I knew I should have put a fake email address in.

saw this today, if you are anywhere near San Jose, CA
first time event put on by the San Jose Mercury News Sept 24, and the way print newspapers are going, this could be the last too.
http://hybrids2hotrods.com/
Came back from this event a few hours ago. I was more disappointed than pleased with the event, especially when seeing the listing on the website and the advertisements. First off, got the gift bag, but inside wasn't any gift in the tote bag but a notepad and a few publication advertisements. That wasn't a big deal to me. They served donuts and coffee in the morning and then when it came to lunch, it was a bit overpriced for food and drinks, which I can understand since they need to make some money. There was supposed to be a raffle at 11am, but we waited until 12:30pm and places that were supposed to raffle stuff got postponed, and we were there since a little before 9am so we called it a day. There weren't as many people who attended the event as I thought.
What was nice was seeing the hot rods parked which had about 4 to 5 aisles on the parking lot to check out.
I was expecting Tesla to show up since I recall seeing that on the event website, but I didn't see them show up, which was disappointing
There was a chance to test drive, but there weren't the electric and hybrid cars that you'd think from the advertisement. I think the only car in that category that they had was the Volt, but all the other cars that you could test drive were your typical sedans. The test drive was a selection of the freeway or the inroads, which were packed and slowed down the test drive because it was a Saturday. I liked the Auto Show In Motion event better because even though it was a parking lot, there was an open space to have freedom driving the car and have some fun designs of the track by the event holders. These test drives also accompanied sales staff, so it wasn't a sales free drive and if you went with people, they were in the back and it wasn't as enjoyable.
Overall, I wasn't expecting that much from a newpaper sponsored event, but due to the marketing hype on the event's webpage, it raised up my hopes and when I got there, I felt a little bummed out.

I was at this from ~11ish to 2:30 pm. The "gift bag" was as bit disappointing as you point out. It did have a few "gifts" like a Toyota keychain and a tiny solar powered rechargeable light (not sure if it works, charging now). I originally wanted to get up early to be one of the first 600 to get the "gift bag" but still was able to get it, despite being so late. I would've been bummed if I woke up really early to go.
As for hybrids and EVs, well, they did have on display Priuses, a current gen Camry Hybrid, a Sonata Hybrid, a PHV Prius demonstrator, the Lexus CT hybrid and Honda hybrids (Insight, Civic Hybrid and a CR-Z, no test drives of the CR-Z AFAIK), a Leaf, a Volt and someone brought a Tesla Roadster (no test drives). There was also another EV on display. I was disappointed the Ford dealer brought no hybrids (no Escape or Fusion hybrids, only a regular Fusion).
Priuses were available for test drives but I skipped them since I already a previous gen Prius and have test driven the current gen numerous times. As for hybrid test drives, I test drove a Lexus CT, the 2012 Civic Hybrid and a 2011 Insight. Sonata Hybrid, Volt and Leaf weren't available for test drives.
Unfortunately, since the cars came from dealers, they didn't have the refreshed 2012 Prius, Prius v wagon, the final production version of the 2012 Prius Plug-In nor the 2012 Camry Hybrid (vastly improved redesign). None of these are shipping yet but these were all available for test drives at Green Drive Expo in Richmond, CA last week. Leaf and Volt were available for test drives at GDE as well.
I was glad to be able to speak to Mr. Roadshow himself. Overall, the event was ok for a free event. I had never driven the Lexus CT nor any Honda hybrids until that day. I would've liked to have tried the Sonata Hybrid (already have test driven the Leaf and Volt before). I'm not into the hotrods even though I used to own a sports car alongside my Prius.

I went around noon & didn't see any test drives @ all. I'm guessing those that did test drive they probably had to ask the dealers.
My favorite car was an original owner fully restored classic Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing with a custom purplish metallic paint job. Heard a guy talking to the owner a little bit & he said the paint job itself cost $50K+. The owner said he has a garage full of collector cars & even his own mechanic that works for him full time. :jawdrop:
How did u get a free 6 wing combo meal @ WingStop? When I went there after it was pretty much the only shop there in the new plaza, except for Lowes & it was pretty much dead.

But there interior bits are a lot better on the Lexus CT than any Prius as well as being totally different. There are also some features available on the CT not available on any Prius. That said, the CT is apparently slower than the 3rd gen Prius besides getting worse fuel economy. If only the CT had more power than a Prius and was RWD...
As for the other low end Lexus hybrid, that would be the HS. I won a one week test drive of one long ago. It has no resemblance to a Prius at all. It's an upscale version of the JDM Toyota Sai (based on the Avensis). The HS has the powertrain from the Camry Hybrid and has power and fuel economy comparable to the HyCam. It isn't of hatchback design either and the same goes w/some of the features vs. the Prius (e.g. you can't get a Mark Levinson stereo on any Prius nor memory power seats nor cooled seats).
I went around noon & didn't see any test drives @ all. I'm guessing those that did test drive they probably had to ask the dealers.
There was a form and standard waiver you had to sign at the info table and they made a copy of your driver's license. You then went to "test drive alley" over by the dealer tents and showed them your paperwork.
Perhaps the event could've had better (or any?) signage about test drives and the folks at the table should've told people about test drives. When I got my "gift bag" they didn't tell me about it and it left me wondering about the test drives. I returned there later to ask about test drives and was shown the paperwork and told about the "alley" (area where a bunch of cars were parked along the side: most visible were the Lexus CT and IS).

2012 Ford Focus Target Hunt https://www.focustargethunt.com/index.html
I'm surprised they don't have one in the NY/NJ area :(
This is NOT Your Typical Test Drive!
DRIVE IT. DRIVE IT. This isn’t like a test drive you’d get anywhere else. This test drive features a laser target hunt, in-car cameras, G-force tracking and lap time recording.

How did u get a free 6 wing combo meal @ WingStop? When I went there after it was pretty much the only shop there in the new plaza, except for Lowes & it was pretty much dead.
Wingstop had a little wheel next to the modified tesla for you to spin and see what you would win, i spun it and i won a free 6 wing combo meal.

I'm surprised they don't have one in the NY/NJ area :(
No CA either. Most car events seems like they are in the east coast this year. I keep missing out on the car events where you can watch yourself and how you actually drive with all their gadgets set up in the car. That seems so cool. They did that with the Cadillac event from some people who posted it on this thread.

How can they bypass California?? Makes no sense to me.
Mike, you down South? if so the Cadillacs are coming your way. If you are up North, not much going on.
Toyota is putting on an event today at the Great America parking lot next to the Forty Niners training facility, I have not seen anything about this, looks like they got lots of Toyota's out there, will swing by at lunch and see whats up

Swung on by the Toyota event at lunch, as I pulled into the parking lot in my MAZDA, I noticed one guy giving me a good stare, I then noticed that most of the cars in the parking lot were Toyota's, most of them had dealer plates, others had no plates at all. As i turned around the guy giving me the stare was walking towards me, he asked if he could help me, I asked what was going on and he said it is a private Toyota event, I asked what kind of event, and he said it is a private Toyota event.

I went to that one last year, and there was ENDLESS traffic. Not much of a chance to test out the vehicles. Go for the food, and you'll be satisfied.
On the other hand, I went to Stonebridge Mall in Pleasanton over the weekend to test the Fiat 500. All the models were red, convertible, and automatic. The road looped around the mall and was fairly wide open. The car rode smoothly for a little car with a short wheelbase, and had adequate acceleration. It was an overcast day, so I didn't put the top down. The staff was nice, but not all that attentive. Got a $15 gift card for Simon properties, which includes several outlet malls in Northern California, as well as other locations in the USA, and the world.

The Fiat event in Pleasanton CA had a manual on Saturday. I didnt ask if the cars were part of the tour or from local dealer.
Overall, I had more seat time when I had gone to the Fiat dealer in July, the sales guy offered to let me test drive three or four back to back; auto, manual, hardtop, cabrio, and one semi-modified one.

This is my short review on the Ford Focus Target Hunt at Miramar, California....
Participated in the Ford Focus Target Hunt yesterday at Miramar. Got there about 15mins before registration time which was not a problem. It seemed like you did not even need to register online since they didn't do anything with that. All they did with the paper was say that the video will be sent to email address I registered with online. This may have been due to the fact that they were at the Air Show with thousands of people so they just wanted as many people as possible to test drive.
Went with my dad and the host (person with mic) was helpful. Told us a little about the 2012 Ford while we were in line and then suggested that one of us drive first and the other ride as passenger and then switch. This was definitely the best way to do it rather than both ride in separate cars. I would really recommend this if you go with someone and if they let you. It is much more exciting. Waited about 5 minutes in line before going into a car. The whole test drive itself takes anywhere from 30-50 seconds. There was no Ford person in the car. If you go by yourself you had the whole car to yourself. The course was a little different than the Youtube video on Ford's Youtube channel (no backing up for us). Max points was 32. I got 31 points in 32 seconds. My dad got 24 points in 45 seconds. We all knew who drove home that night...haha.
Overall it was really fun and you get a video (in 2 weeks) but the drive was VERY short, 30-50seconds. I think we could have done the test drive again by hopping back into line but we decided not to. To me this event would not be worth it if you have to drive more than 30minutes to the event site.

Went to the MINI event in Pleasanton over the weekend, which turned out to be just a day of test-drives and hot dogs. Only I got there too early for the hot dogs, as they hadn't started cooking them yet. I did get a spin in the MINI Coupe S, with the manual transmission, including a stint on nearby Freeway 580. It's a frenetic little monster, and was almost too much for me to handle...
I got this confused with another event to happen there later this month, complete with go-kart racing. I was expecting go-kart racing, but the MINI handles enough like a go-kart.

Went yesterday. The cooking demo by the celebrity chefs was excellent, but the food was minimal. Other food was just prepackaged nuts & cookies. Drinks were coffee, hot chocolate, tea, or bottled water. They did not even have soda. Waiting time to drive is very minimal, but the road course is pretty much just a block around the shopping center. Traffic was horrible as usual around the area & there were pretty much only 2 short stretches of road that you could get any kind of acceleration out of the cars otherwise you were stuck in traffic.
While your @ Santana Row stop by the Tesla shop & check out the Tesla Model S. It is awesome. Especially like the high resolution 17" full touchscreen display center console.

Went to the V series lab at road atlanta last weekend. Total driving time was 6 laps of the full course, 2 1/4 mile runs in a V6 CTS. All runs were with an instructor in your car. Plenty of auto and manual cars available. They let you go pretty much all out.
Time was split 50/50 between track and class. During the track time, there was a good bit of waiting. I would call the classroom time a cross between a technical sales pitch and driving instruction.
John Heinricy and Johnny O'Connell were both in the waiting area for the track. Spent quite a bit of time talking to these guys, along with the Brembo engineer (I'm a mechanical engineer).
Overall, I would rate this event as significantly better than the Porsche event due to more freedom and more track time, along with a better course (Road Atlanta vs PBIR)

I forgot to try from home last night, but yes, it does work from my phone. However, it doesn't like the Flash on my phone, so I can't register. When I go home tonight, hopefully I'll remember to check it out. Does anyone know when the Dallas-area date is? Thanks.
This weekend...the 5th and 6th, if I remember correctly. Definitely this weekend, though.

anyone here drive a Mazda?? and planning on going to the annual car shows for the new cars ??
if so go to http://mazdadriversclub.com and register, if you print out the registration and bring it to the Mazda booth at the car shows you get a free massage!! well, maybe not a massage, in fact I dont know what the heck you get, it says Mazda Drivers Club credentials, whatever that is.
even if you dont drive a mazda, you can register and get whatever it is you will get.

Same here
you know what they say
try and try again, also note that the password is 8 characters or less, the first time I tried it it did not work for me either, but that was because the password i entered was more than 8.
it also works better if you use the tab button on this page, this page is not the easiest to register thru thats for sure.
i also used my work email rather than yahoo when I got it to work, but I dont think that is the issue.

I just tried this afternoon and it worked. Their computers were probably not working right last night when I attempted it first.

I went to the Food & Wine Buick Event last year at the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel. They had Top Chef Masters winner Marcus Samuelson cooking! We got to eat a lot of other food samples and we even got his $40 value cookbook free. I hope they have this in LA again.

Awesome event this year at Stamford. 30 minutes of car related stuff, the other 2 hours is food & wine. Chef Gavin Kaysen at one session, another guy doing desserts (bacon ice cream!), and for the big presentation Michael Psilakis. Parting gift was his pretty awesome looking Greek cookbook.

unless it's electric, or one of those "smart" clown cars, people in the bay aren't interested, lol

I definitely agree with that. Being from San Jose (but sometimes in the Central Valley) I would love some more ride and drive events. Still the best event so far for me has been the Pebble Beach event Concours D'Elegance
I attended a few zoom zoom live events, they were pretty fun and free

Bad news about the Leaf test drives at the SF auto show. They're apparently indoors, inside the venue per a Priuschatter who attended and an answered question on the Nissan Leaf FB page. :(
