why on some of my posts my signature shows up and on others it dosnt't. i want it to show up all the time.

as a compromise to people wanting ultra long sigs and not taking up half the board with them, signatures show up on your first post on each page.

In the "post quick reply" option, your signature showing up is the default.... you have to uncheck the box for your sig to NOT show up.

But... if you already have a reply in that thread, on that page, your sig won't show up on your next reply on the same page as your first reply.

Quick question... why are we not allowed to have pictures in our signatures? such as other boards? thanks.

I would guess its because it makes threads load slower for folks on dial-up. The few forums I visit that have the option to put pix in threads have led to people loading their siggies with a dozen dumb-ass blinkies and animations that take forever to load. I prefer the no pix in siggies rule, myself.

Now a Mod can explain it better I'm sure, but that's my guess. That and the problem of policing people's siggies to make sure they aren't included Pr0n or innapropriate material.

pretty much what nuala's mom said, we want to make it so the deal pages can load as fast as possible. that's why the img code is only turned on in the lounge.

Is there any way that I can turn off sigs so that I can't see other people's sigs. I find the multi-color often very long sigs really unnecessary. The same goes for the animated avatars. Blocking them with firefox is fun and all, but it's getting kind of boring.

Check your UserCP. You can turn them all off.
