This may be taken the wrong way, BUT... since the only thing you actually get from rep points is being bold, how about having different levels of boldness. (I've noticed the mods have different colors on here) Maybe 100, 300, 500, 1000 of reps can have a different bold color associated with their name? Kind of like ebay ;)

there is that little colored button dealie next to your rep that changes at 500 and 1000.

The brightness of the green also changes. Compare yours to catluver.

In regards to different colors, that's something that I don't think can happen.
When the bold members first came out, they were confused with the Blue-Bar Moderators. Hence why the Mods colors were "enhanced" to be brighter. I think the different colors would confuse a lot of newer members once again.

In the ends, it would be up to Mr. SD, though. You'll have to ask him.

Do the Mods different colors mean anything, other than that you like different colors?

Those who earn over 1000 reps should be receive something special IMO.
BTW when was boldness instituted?

Green Bars have a few more privileges than Blue Bars.

Red Bar = Admin

Green Bar = Senor Moderator

Blue Bar = Moderator

What exactly those extra privileges are is a mystery :whistlin:

After 1000 reps, your rep box turns blue and you increase your repping power

10-499 reps = 1 rep (If your reps are not gray)
500-999 reps = 2 reps
1000-1499 reps = 3 reps
1500+ reps = 4 reps

*Of course the number of posts and the amount of time you have been here can also increase your repping power (and yes, all these factors for reps are stackable  )

colors confuse meMe too, I don't pay attention to the colors in terms of member status. It's kind of like being able to tell military awards apart (http://www.af.mil/news/airman/0105/awards1_011.jpg).
