Ok I don't usually complain. But I have a REAL issue with the Repost rule now. I alerted a few this morning but they said they were over a year so they don' qual as reposts. BUT when I posted an old site it was merged with a post that was 2004. Now please make up your mind. It's either all of nothing. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't tell one member sure it's over a years go ahead and tell another no...PLEASE MAKE UP YOU FREAKEN MIND! And until you all get on the same page may I suggest you leave it the way it is, because it's too confusing to have different mods spout off different rules!
Thank-you
S.

I checked and the only merged post I saw of yours recently was http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=5258&p=2433221#post2433221
This was originally posted by you in December 2005. Is this not the one you are referring to? If not, please provide a link.

so we can now post old posts that are over a year old without it being a repost?

Nope talking about this post
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=65229&t=15665
And before you say it has updated post within the thread so sode this one
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=65229&t=7358
Yet when I alerted it as repost I got That it was a year old. So it's a double edge sword you in or out. IMO I think the old system is fine. I always add to old post and bump them up with the new link added.

Selma, according to the new rules laid out for testing reasons, you are correct that the thread should not have been merged.
We are in the process of deciding the best way to handle "reposts". Many members sort based on post date, not last reply date, so they do not see the threads from 1 year ago that are bumped. I am not sure a final decision has been made on this yet. Once one has been we will keep everyone updated.
