member pictures - what do people think about this?

i was thinking if it would be possible to have a thread/section where members could post their pictures and leave a small note and things of that nature.what do people think of such a thing being done on slickdeals.

TMK44, I don't know how to do what you do with the underlining & naming the link. I just post the hotlink and that's all. Maybe one day I'll learn it.

Today will be the day! (or night)

1. Start out by clicking "post reply" or "reply"

the new reply page comes up.

2. look at all the junk up above the message box to change fonts and sizes and colors, see it? good!

3. look for the icon with the white simile face.

4. right below it is an icon with what looks like the earth with a paper clip or link icon.

5. write out of the text you want to create (e.g LINK, Here, Linky, Thread link, or whatever you want)

6. Next find the link you want. For example www.slickdeals.net

7. Cut the link ( www.slickdeals.net ) so you can paste it

8. Next, highlight the text you want to have the link under (e.g. LINK---> hightlight the whole word so it has the blue background and white letters)

9. with the text still highlighted, click on that world link with the paperclip/link icon

10. a pop up will appear (kind of like the rep box link but smaller) it should say "script prompt Please enter the URL of your link" and a text line that states out with http:// hightlighted. Just hit control (ctrl) and the letter "v" to paste the www.slickdeals.net link in that text line (or you could manually type www.slickdeals.net into that text line). Click ok

11. Now, in your message box should appear something like this (without the php code box)

LINK (www.slickdeals.net)

12. That's it!

13. end product LINK (www.slickdeals.net)

try it!
