This is prolly a stupid question but i want to be 100% sure.
I am using my old IDE DVD Burner in a new build and the new Biostar mobo didnt come with a HDD cable, so can I use the one that was came with my ASUS Mobo even though it has ASUS tags all over it?

I presume you mean that your using 1 IDE cable for the burner and the HDD. No reason there should be anything special about an ASUS cable that I know of.
YES. 80-pin IDE cable is an 80-pin IDE cable.
Set the burner's jumper for Master and plug one end of cable into mobo and other end to drive. Pin (1) is adjacent to the power plug.
The center connector would be for a "Slave" device.

Sry, the HDD is sata, only IDE on the DVD Drive, I thought it was sata also untill i opened it up.
I would think it wouldnt make a difference, but ASUS has its tags and logo all over the cable, just want to be sure.

Not sure what you mena by set the jumper but since it was the master is my old pc wouldnt the jumper already be set or it that something done on the MB?
If it was Master before, then you are good to go.
All IDE drives have a jumper block next to where the data cable plugs in. There should be a diagram or markings on the drive near the jumpers. MA, SL, CS. Master, Slave and Cable Select.

Do the Master and Slave jumper settings even have any effect with conventional 80-wire IDE cables, which are built for Cable Select because they have wires cut to make the black and grey connectors have different selection lines?
80-pin cable? 80 wires, yes, but there are still only 40 pins. The extra wires are grounds.

I guess now is a good time to correct my "80-pin" to an "80-wire" over 40 pins :)
Been so long, i got a little excited talking about it.
