Could I - no. But it is all the rage up here in redneck country. there are so many couples that are aunts/uncles/moms/dads. Hard not to laugh.

These threads are getting a little out of hand...
I'm waiting for the "Could you marry a person who slept with your brother's friend's sister's second cousin's roomate?" thread.

Mine was a legitimate thread. I know the guy, and I was curious how everyone felt. I guess this OP was trying to spoof?
Also, "out of hand" isn't two threads.

No....where'd ya get that idea?
I posted the story in another thread, but I wanted everyone's opinion so I created a thread for the story. Perhaps that's what you mean.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone. When I saw jmegirl's thread it made me wonder about this situation involving siblings. I also want to ask about could you date/marry your best friend's sister/brother but I guess i won't.

I really just wanted to know what everyone thought about this guy's situation. Looks like a resounding "HELL NO" from the masses, but I still don't know that I'd be totally bothered by it. :dontknow:

For all intensive purposes I am an only child.
That being said :vomit:
I would not date anyone who has dated anyone else in my family.

intents and purposes
i think i'd have an easier time marrying a man my sister had slept with, rather than marrying a man my mother had slept with

My wife...is very close with my sister.
In fact, my wife and my sister were very close friends before we met.
We snuck around for a while but things got serious so my wife (gf at the time) decided she had to break the news to my sister.
So my wife takes my sister out to drink. My wife (after a few drinks) says, "I gotta tell you something."
My sister responds immediately while laughing,
"what're you farking my brother or something?"
My wife...laughs uncomfortably and said, "NOOOOOOOOWELLLLyeahkinda".
That was like 8 years ago.

What about Thatcher? Do you ask Thatcher?
(Sorry...I think I'm a little loopy this evening.)
In other news, I'd absolutely date my best friend's brother. Why not?

OP's question did not ask whether I will date my siblings' best friend.

Hmm. Most definitely no. Because my current BFF is a guy who has only married sisters.
In high school I dated (and lost my virginity to) a good friend's older brother. There really wasn't any weirdness until we broke up. Sort of put a kink in hanging out at my friend's house.
