I saw a thread asking "where can I find a Deal on ....."
in the Hot Deals forum (taking up precious front page Hot Deals space :D).
I wanted to Mod Alert it, so it could be moved, but when I click on "Mod Alert", this is what it says .....
This is ONLY to be used to report reposts, spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.
What should we do in this situation?
wait for a Mod to discover it?
post a reply and tell the OP to put "delete" in title and repost it in the right place?
thanks. :)

Yes, use the mod alert feature to let us know. When in doubt, use it to help us keep the forum in order. The strong wording is to help prevent it's abuse. We have had people think it is necessary to mod alert every post they come across, just to comment on the post.

okay,
then you may want to re-word the Mod-Alert "rule" that shows up when you go to Mod Alert something.
thanks Raddish. :)

Don't mention it, Momerator. :)
Seriously, I can't let word get out that I have been helpful. It would cause serious damage to my reputation.

Wouldn't a thread in the wrong forum be problematic?
I read "(harassment, fighting, or rude)" as examples under the umbrella of problematic posts.

Well I would have thought so but then they did define problematic (in the parenthesis) and it did not include posts in wrong forum.
