Sorry if this is a repost - Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom snack size bars are $2/7. Boxes I found have $1/1 peelies. There's also a printable you can register for on the Blue Bunny site. These are considered "new" frozen so you can use the $5 frozen cat on them, and another will print. Buy 3 = $10.50 - $3 in coupons = $7.50 OOP, pay with $5 frozen to bring it down to $2.50, get another $5 frozen back.

These are an 8-pack of of bars, slightly dipped in chocolate. Carmel and Raspberry flavor. It's hard to eat just one of the Raspberry! Yummy. For low fat and no sugar added - I was definitely impressed.

Then was able to use 6 $1/1 coupons. I asked cashier and she was ok with it.
It cost me $6 oop and I got back a $4 cat from Kraft.
If you are not able to use 6 coupons you can use 3 $1/1 and it will cost you $9 oop and you will still get back $4 cat

I too recieved only a $1 ore ida cat instead of a $3 - I also bought 4 tubs of cream cheese - bogo and got the $3 kraft cat. 2.79 X 2 = 5.58 - $3 cat. . 2.58 for 4 cream cheese .. roughly .64 each, not bad.

Things are definitely different today than they were on Friday when I shopped. For one, as was mentioned, the Ore Ida only gave $1 oyno when I bought four. Tried with Golden fries and with Easy fries.
Second, I bought the very same Eggos as I did on Friday, and did not get the $5 cat although did receive the milk cat. On Friday I got both cats when buying those same Eggos. Who knows. I got the new ad that starts tomorrow. One thing I saw was Kraft cheese items being BOGO. Hoping the price will be the same as it was today. I got four bags of shredded cheese for .50 a bag. Wish I could print more coupons! Thanks to the OP who posted the Kraft cat!
Oh, and the $5 frozen cat was advertised again.

Should of known I was due for a bad experience at Safeway.

I went to get the Kraft Fresh Take and the shelf tag was $3.99+B1G1. There just happened to be an employee right next to it taking inventory. So, I opened my big mouth and asked if it would ring up as the advertised price in the ad. She got standoffish pretty quickly. Eventually, she left to verify the ad price for $2.99.

She comes back after awhile (even though the ads were like a minute away) and starts the whole Sherlock Holmes inspection. She relents and says I can get one bag for $2.99. I respond as a joke about how dumb would I be if I only got one since it's B1G1. So she says she can't let me do it, it's one or the other (either $3.99+B1G1 or just $2.99). I disagree. She gets pretty agitated and rips off all the sales tags for each variety of the product and says something like "well, that should make it easier for you." I make some comment about how I hope she isn't going to chase me down outside of the store if it happens to ring up $2.99 and B1G1...and she just turned away and left. I never saw her again in the store.

At some point in our conversation, she had sent another employee to see how much it would ring up. I had to track him down after my conversation with the first employee. He rang it up and it was indeed $3.99. I brought up what the other employee had said and he shrugged and said she was the acting manager.

It's annoying...but I probably should have never asked about the price and just gotten a price adjustment afterwards.

Here in California it's buy $15 get $5 with expiration of 3/31. So a long time to fill the freezer, or for those of us with full freezers to buy a second one and fill that one too. :)

What do you guys use the $5 Cat for? I went and bought 4 bags for frozen veggies thinking I could then use the $5 towards the next 4 bags. Then I was told that the $5 could only be used towards these "New" items? I marched around the frozen section like 5 times and couldn't find anything I wanted. This sucks big time. Our ad says 2 for $5 but tags on shelf said $2.49 and I didn't feel like messing with that while

2. I didn't like my choice of cashiers

Good idea...trying to see about the SW pizza too if somehow I can work into the frozen deal since previous time we had good deals using anythign with an in ad Q.

Need milk so got the regular strawberry eggos and scanned 2.49 so got .59 ice cream and got both frozen cat and milk.

Attempted to use my previous frozen cat on these and scanned .01 so didn't use it since at lunch too saved it for next time.

It printed for me last Sunday or Monday. I only had three of these and a box of $2.99 Cadbury bars. Used the $1/3 on Eggos and $1/1 from the Blue Bunny site on Cadbury and one $5 CAT. Paid just over $3 and received another $5 CAT.

The new waffflers don't produce the milk cat but they do produce the frozen cat ;). I was able to roll the cat with those type but just didn't get the milk cat...so of course I want it all.

Hmmm...well now I am questioning the order of my transactions...got 12 boxes...4 of each kind and was able to roll....guess it could be that I did the brown sugar first so hence no rolling...that might be it?

Got a question on proper coupon usage for the Classico Pasta Sauce. It's B1G1 this week. I have a hangtag for B2G1 that I got from Target a few months ago. Does this mean I have to get 6 in order to use the hangtag? i.e. 3 would be free from the B1G1 offer and 1 would be free from the MQ so I'd only pay for 2.

Kraft fresh taste...or the Kraft Fresh Take that's advertised on the last page of the ad for $2.99? Hopefully we can mix n match Kraft items and get the CAT...I'd like to try some of these new, different Kraft items.
At my Tom Thumb, the Fresh Takes was BOGO, $3.99, and counted toward the CAT. So after the cat, they were like 0.25 each :lol:

The Fresh Takes are nothing more than a glorified shake-n-bake, really, but the food tasted good and the kids like it, so we'll call that a success! :D

Our ad says 2 for $5 but tags on shelf said $2.49 and I didn't feel like messing with that while

ok, I tried the ice cream deal today about 10:30 and it did not work for me. I got 2 Lucerne half-gallons and 2 of the safeway select ice cream cups but did not get the 5 dollar cat. I got 3 Pop-Tarts and 1 Krave cereal and I did get the milk cat. So I do not know why it did not work. I did not even try to go to customer service and get it rectified because my ice cream would have melted by the time they would have figured it out and on my receipt it did not show that I spent 10 dollars, so I just know that would have been their excuse as to why I did not get the 5 dollar cat:rolleyes:. The Lucerne creamery fresh icecream is still my favorite(my daughter and I call it "evil vanilla" cuz it is sooo good!)

If anyone else is successful with this transaction please let us know.

My conclusion now with the list (THANK YOU)....if we buy thick/fluffy we will get BOTH catalinas? frozen and milk and hence be able to roll? but how many waffles is too much waffles.


EDIT: Hmm.....is the 6 count think/fluffy that works for the milk catalina...doesn't sound like it can be 23oz?

According to the shelf stick outs (or whatever those are called!) advertising the milk cat at my store, it is only the 10 ct. of Eggos that qualify for the milk cat. The only 10 ct. "NEW" Eggo variety that I see is the Simply Eggo. Unfortunately, I did try them (2 of them along with 1 regular blueberry Eggo and 1 regular Buttermilk Eggo) and they didn't print the milk cat. However, if you have a friendly store, you could point out to them that the 10 ct. Eggos are supposed to give the cat. I did that and they gave me a SW GC for $4 :)

At my SWs, I have only seen the Horizon brand milk and O Organics milk in the gallon size. Many times though, they are out of stock or close to expiration because they are normally so overpriced (I believe $6.99 reg. price, once in a blue moon on sale for $5.99)!!

I saw this today when I went shopping. I used 4 $1/1 coupons and paid $6. I expected to get a $5 Frozen cat but I didn't. I asked my cashier and she said it had to be $10 after coupons (and I didn't feel like arguing).

I also got 4 Kraft Milkbites and didn't get a cat for those either. They were marked down with the 50% clearance, but since they were B1G1 the stickers wouldn't work. She scanned it again for a negative 1.99. So I had 4 rung up regular and then 4 at a negative price. They came out to free, but I still should have gotten a catalina.

I looked at the light and it was solid green so I don't know what the problem was. I will email catalina on this.

Not often and usually not for much of a discount. However, one of the stores I used to frequent -- 181st/Halsey -- was really good about slapping 50% off stickers on shortdated dairy, which often included O Organics, Horizon or Organic Valley. I routinely brought home gallons for $3. Other locations I have zero discount karma. Good luck!

Got a question on proper coupon usage for the Classico Pasta Sauce. It's B1G1 this week. I have a hangtag for B2G1 that I got from Target a few months ago. Does this mean I have to get 6 in order to use the hangtag? i.e. 3 would be free from the B1G1 offer and 1 would be free from the MQ so I'd only pay for 2.

My kids are older (12 & 8), but they like them on the go, smeared with butter and jam. No forks necessary as they just hold them and take bites as I drive them to school. lol

I was getting frustrated today because the $5 off frozen wasn't printing when I bought $10 of eggos and used $5 frozen paid $5. Same with the bluebunny ice cream bars, I used the $5 off new and $1 x 3 coupon so paid 2.50 for 3, not bad. Both printed last week and this time it didn't. They just reused my original coupon to make it right. I had no hope for my last transaction of:
1 Lucerne Choc Chip cookie dough (light) 2 qt 4.99 sale ($2.99 after in ad coupon)
1 Lucerne Vanilla 2qt $4.48 sale ($2.99 after in ad coupon)

The penny trick is a way to see if the cat will print, especially if you are unsure the items purchased qualify. Basically, you pay a "penny" or $1 or some partial amount of the total due. This usually triggers the cats to start printing. If you do not get the cat, then you can have the items void from your order before you finish paying.

I would guess it would be any "new" item $5 or more. I had 4 strawberry Eggos on my order and the cat would not scan, cashier said it has to be "new" products. I ran back and got 2 "new" strawberry strudel. I had 2 reg strawberry and 2 new eggos and it scanned fine.

Has anyone bought the greek ben and jerry's from list? Sorry, probably not helpful, but there were those tearpads (on the freezer doors) at my store today for $2/2. It's those beer and pizza ones, but you don't have to buy beer.

Bought 2 dipping strips digiorno, used the $2/2 Q, used a $5 frozen, got back another $5 frozen and the $2.50/2 digiorno so I can do it all again!!

Does organic milk (gallon size) ever go on sale? I've never paid attention to it. They were $5.99 here.

I only go back occasionally and it is hit or miss (completely dependent on the cashier working at the time of my trip) whether things will work out to my benefit. Yes, I tried to use the MCR coupon (WITH the hologram) on the B2G2 sale and was denied b/c they said those coupons are on their list of "counterfeit"? I didn't know what to say to that, since this should be a legit coupon. Anyone else have issues with these coupons?

I couldn't agree with your comment above. I had 4 Ocean Spray fruit snacks $1.49 with limit of 4 (in-ad coupon) and had 4 x $1 mq (peelies from boxes purchased at Walmart). Cashier refuse to take the 3rd one stating their policy is only 3 like coupon. Asked her to take it off then and said I'll just pm your sale price at WalMart as they don't limit my coupon. I needed milk otherwise I would have asked for all mqs back and walk out. Sheesh.

Well I know that a few years ago, MCR had put some of their own issued coupons on the counterfeit list for some reason (maybe a system glitch that people were able to order a ton of free product coupons?), and so I had a flashback of that. Now I'm not sure if I can use them or not.

Back on topic, I tried to use the $5 cat on the "New" items needed for the GM rebate (pillsbury scrambles and Totinos stuffed pizzas) and it didn't go through.

Us TX folks hide when we get weather like we got this weekend - :lol: My closest store is also tiny and only had like 3 different flavors of the regular Kraft slices so that was a bust. Would be a nice match-up though if we can find them. FWIW, Target has a $1/2 TQ for Kraft slices but I wasn't able to find them there either. The IPs expire early next month so hopefully they'll start rolling them out soon....

Did a successful roll on the frozen food cat.

- 3 bags of Ore-Ida golden crinkles 1.99/ea
- 1 bag of Voila frozen dinner 5.29

Used $5 frozen food cat plus $1.85/1 Voila IP (from couponnetwork, not sure if its still available). Paid $4.xx plus tax and got another FF cat, plus a $1 Ore-Ida cat. :bounce: I thought the Ore-Ida cats had ended, but apparently not. Nice little bonus. I also got the Visine cat. They only had one type marked under $4, and only 2 boxes of that kind, so I couldn't test the $3 cat.

All in all, a satisfying day at Safeway. I'm actually looking for a freezer right now - between Safeway and Giant, I could feed my family for a year if I had the room to store it all!! :lol:

Well, here's the rub. Only some work for the milk deal, some produce the frozen cat, and some you can USE the frozen cat on.

Can USE frozen cat on:
Simply Eggo, homestyle low fat, strawberry strudel, and thick and fluffy.

So I have no idea why your blueberry and strawberry worked to use the $5 on.


Produce milk cat:
Eggo 10ct (according to the sign). For sure: french toast waffles, low fat homestyle

I got Garlic Chicken Farfalle. The transaction was seemless, so it worked for the $10 minimum to get another CAT as well as part of the $5 needed to use the CAT. I don't know if I trust that $1 eQ to count, though.

I am with you on the white cream cheese. DH loves dark choco, so I bought some for him but I did not like it. I could not feel the cheese flavor at all. It tastes just like melted choco. White choco is way better : sweet flavor of choco, but also the strong flavor of cream cheese.

Tracey was kind enough to post the full list she got for the "new" frozen products. I highly suggest you print it and take it with you to the store. That way you can decide whether you even need something or if the price is good enough after you roll your CAT. So far I've gotten waffles, fries, clearanced Newman's Own, Stouffer's meals and veggies - all from this list and they've all rolled successfully.

ETA - This list has also been worth its weight it gold since my store was good about tagging items but the tags have all fallen down and now you can't tell what's "new" for the purposes of the CAT.

One I did tonight was using the .75/1 Minute Maid OJ ipq combined with $1.25/1 Jimmy Deans Delights wyb OJ. Minute Maid OJ is 2/$6 and the small Jimmy Dean Delights is 3.29. My area doubles, so OJ and breakfast for hubby for $3.59, plus a filler for the FF cat. My store was also out of Raisin Bran, so I got a raincheck. When I pointed out to the manager that I should get a coupon for a free galon of milk if I bought the 4 boxes, he added a free gallon of milk to my raincheck when I buy 4 Raisin Bran at 1.99 each. :D

The strips I got say NEW right on the box - and with the fries what I have found is that only the 1.99 smaller bags let the cat scan beepless. The larger bags always beep for me and the cashiers don't push it through for those.

the smaller bags $1.99 are indeed what i got, infact i brought those yesterday, along with the strips, I thought maybe with a new ad week they are considered old, may go back this evening, and try again, thanks for your reply :)

Yesterday I bought 4 boxes of eggo waffles and some other items, I got the $5 frozen cat but no milk cat....I had 3 all natural waffles and 1 low fat.....any idea if I had the wrong waffles?....I thought it was on all the 10count???? Should I call kellogs, or contact the store?

I bought 2 blueberry waffles and 2 strawberry waffles (not new products) and got the 5 cat and free milk cat....I hope these waffles have a long expiration date of at least a year lol.

Same here, but I realized that I had a JFU coupon of $1.01. That must have made my order just $9.
