My jfu worked fine too today. I did my aforementioned magnum ice cream deal.
It rang up 3.99 reg price -.80 personalized jfu -2 ecoupon -1 frozen store coupon (again 25% off reg price). Ive only bought delimex and this magnum so far so I am not sure if all items are 25% off of regular price or delimex's special pricing and my jfu savings just don't affect it.

I also have a breyers jfu at 3.18; so, it should work out to 3.18- 1.50 (25% of reg price 5.99)=1.68 each, too bad no breyers coupons out now :(

No you shouldn't have any problems with that. In fact, you can combine a physical coupon with the F4U eCoupon and double your limit to 8 in one transaction.

Typical SW false leader advertising. I confronted a service lady once about that, and she said all items were marked. So I dragged her over to the frozen section and watched as she sputtered around.
SW is notorious for doing this "participating products" bit. Along with their undecipherable cash register tapes, must make for some great deliberate revenue enhancers.

I agree it was a bit confusing, but just to the left of the coupon in my ad, it was clearly marked which were participating items. It was small print, but when I can read it, it can't be that small. It definitely was not in their 'write on rice' size print!

P.S. I am not referring to you, but I know there are lots of folks who seem to only post negative things in this thread. Quite honestly, if you don't like the store, it would simply be easier to just pay no attention to this thread at all. Surely there have to be enough deals at the stores you do like. :)

Costco's actually a bit cheaper. I was trying to price it out this morning and calculated it at about $.11 an ounce.

Kirkland's signature brand = $17.89 for 5 liters.

5 liters = 169.07 ounces

$17.89/169.07 oz = $.11 an ounce

Since you got 4 of them, did you use 2 cards or the same card for 2 transactions? I would've tried 2 transactions for my card but the eq has the one limit free and one time use wording on it.

Out of the loop recently. I thought you couldn't stack EQ and paper Q anymore at safeway/vons. Also, was the EQ through safeway.com or from somewhere else? My personalized deals did not have the ice cream either, just keep checking back?

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but free/cheap Colgate toothpaste this week at Vons. Colgate toothpaste (6.4oz select varieties) is on sale for .99 this week (this is on the back of the pullout section of this week's circular, at least in So-Cal). If you use the .75/1 any Colgate toothpaste (4.0oz+) from one of the recent inserts, you can get it for .24, or free if you have stores that double. Hope this helps!

yowswers wowsers, this worked for me today! I got 2 free cream cheeses. I went back to the store 2 hours later to do it again, but it was a no go. Oh well, I am soooo thrilled with 2 frees that I did get!!:bounce:

Ours are $1, and our SW makes all coupons worth $1 so free, no? Except the crazy SW tape attached that 25¢ coupon to the 18 count eggs for which there is an in ad coupon for $1.99; making the eggs 99¢ and the carrots $1. Oh well.
And our SW said they did not get in the olive oil so was subbing SW brand or rain check. I took the rain check so I can use the $1 coupon, but am concerned if they will ever get that size in since there was no space on the shelf for it. Anyone scoring the olive oil?

Friend said they got the Berio Olive Oil and it didn't ring up on sale for $5. It wasn't the one pictured in the ad but it had a $5 sale shelf tag.

The (2) free Philly cream cheese worked on the salmon and the onion/chives 8oz tubs.

The $5 CAT for Hallmark didn't print when buying 3x$1.99 cards. Got a $5 gift card. I remembered this happened last time I did the deal which was probably a year ago.

Morning Star products come out to $2.44 with the 30% frozen food Q.

The $5 fresh fruit flan cake has hardly any flan in it...kinda disappointing, but at least it doesn't taste bad. The french bread from the bakery does taste horribad, or I guess horrisalty. Safeway's policy is no coupon on the free one. As far as the FF turkey being bogo, where are you? I'm very jealous as I got safeway brand BOGO (and I have 2.99 jfu for jennie-o and ff ground turkey :().

Coupons didn't beep for me when I bought the bars. I think the Tearpad POM Coupons are 992's maybe that is why it beeped to ask for department? Although I though Safeway didn't beep like that for 992's

I think it depends on which POM coupons you have. The older version of the coupon has a *992 which will not beep (from sometime last year). The new version of the coupon that starts with *110 (11074 as the last 5 digit, excluding the check 6th digit) from last Sunday will likely beep because of a different coding. My *992 coupons never beep at Safeway.

The bars were less than $1 in my store (allow I can't remember the exact amount right now.)
My stores computers are programed to beep if a coupon is over the same amount.

but the Hormel lunchmeat mq caused a long checkout problem. I think it was the clerk's technique that made it come off and then get added back in. Q has new barcode, he'd take it off,scan the pkg (to attach it?), then it would do a little dance and come back with the Qs coming off and the amt added back.

The bars were less than $1 in my store (allow I can't remember the exact amount right now.)
My stores computers are programed to beep if a coupon is over the same amount.

These are 2 for $1 for me, so with the $1 coupons, it's a $.50 overage on each bar with the coupon use, no beep for the 992 coupons. It appears that the 992 coupons is not attached to anything so as long as the cashier has no problem scanning the coupons, they fly through beeplessly.

Of note is the 8oz POM juice for only $1.49, so only $.49 each after the $1 coupon for those looking for a good deal on the 100% POM juice.

Not all areas can do JFU. I randomly get one useless item from when I lived in Hawaii, but my current address is in the area where Safeway is selling off/closing all their stores, so they could care less about giving us any deals. I'm not sure exactly, but I think I saw an expiration date for late January or February. At the least, the sale does not end on the 17th, so you have plenty of time to get these. One store I went this weekend still had the $1/1 POM tearpad qs. Other good deals on POM products include POM Tea, on sale for $2, and the 8 oz bottles of pomegranite juice, on sale for $1.49. I think the sale price for both of those ends on the 17th.

the last store I went to said Feb 28th...hopefully it is not a fluke they will pull because I am still waiting for my order to come... or for them to contact me. Still were able to get free POM juice and bars today. Purchased the 8oz 100% POM juice for $1.49 and the bar at 2 for $1. Used 2 $1 coupons and had a penny in overage, no beep with both the new *110 and the old *992 coupons. Had to get a filler to cover the penny overage on each combo. Not sure what the end date is though...

This did not work for me today. Cat machine was working as I got other stuff. I got the cat printout and it does state V-fusion, Splash and 100% vegetable juice counts. Cat is good from 1/23/12 thru 2/19/12. Looks like it got fixed to not include the smoothies.

The Haagen-Dazs that are 3/$10 are triggering a $20 Red Envelope gift certificate when you buy 3 ($10 worth). Even though RE stuff is ridiculously overpriced, this can be a good deal. Find something in the $13-$20 range that would make a nice thank-you gift, valentine, or whatever. As I recall last time I did this, shipping was about $9. Swagbucks has a "Special Offer" for 675 Swagbucks when you make a Red Envelope purchase, starting from their portal, so basically you can earn one and a half $5 Amazon gift cards, which earns you back what you spent on shipping (or better, if you got a cheap enough item that $20 covered most of the shipping). The Pom sale is a total bust. Only one store near me carries the 8 oz. And of course, it was sold out because there's room for 6 bottles on the shelf.

The stores here have room for three dozen or so on the shelf. I preordered Pom yesterday and picked it up today - 72 free Pom and 2 free salad kits and three bananas = $.05 OOP. The CAT machine was out of paper so the cashier gave me $10 in cash instead of the catalina I should have received.

Thanks for all the replies re the Pom. I was a little afraid it wouldn't work cause I thought Safeway didn't allow overage, but I guess I was wrong. I used SCO and left with 6 POMs and a gallon of milk for $1.51.
My Safeway also only has room for like 6 Poms on the shelf but they had more in the stockroom.
There's only 1 flavor of Pom in the 8oz size, right?

My Safeway had like 50+ of the 8oz POM in the main produce display..I was shocked! Only found regular Pom (no pom cranberry, etc.), but that's good enough for free. ;)

i'm not the OP, but my safeway doesn't limit the # of Qs, especially since they're not Qs that need doubling. my guess is the OP got them from his/her own inserts and maybe a clipping site/fleabay. the Qs are $1/1 but will scan at $1 (though they can be adjusted down to .99 if the store feels the need).

gosh. Had wonderfull fun yesterday trying to figure out what happened to my POMx bars order. It had been 6 weeks since I placed it with lots of call and provides I would get a call the following week. Well I was told nothing was in and that all flavors except yogurt covered was being discontinued. They just let me buy whatever was on the shelf but said to just go to the a regular register rather than CS like I nicely asked. Assistant manager tells the poor kid to ring each bar separately (94) which ring up full price of course ...then a different manager comes to do an override for the price difference, uses her iphone and doesn't account for tax on that difference even though I pointed it out. I wish I had been prepared then I would have done 2 transactions with fillers to get another $10 cat. But happy all together ....yet sorry for the customers in line behind me. Awesome trial by fire for the cashier though :lmao:
