for a refurb G router, i'd rather get the new one from Verizon under $10 shipped.

This isn't bad for a $10 ADSL Modem. I got one just as a back-up to my AT&T one. Netopia = Motorola.
This model sells for $105 new at NewEgg & Walmart.

5$ here is 50%... so pay 50% more for new ? heck no.. I always buy refurb stuff and never have issues.. i actually find that refurb has a better lifespan than new.

Out of curiosity, if you always buy refurbs why do you say you "actually find that refurb has a better lifespan than new"? Is this based on anything or just trying to feel better about refurbs?
I do buy some items as refurbs (router - yes, hard drive- never) and have never been burned, but I always wonder if I just bought someone elses lemon.

Good price for a spare as suggested by TDMVP73, thanks OP. Repped you both.
A third party is selling a $14.99 version ("bulk packaged") and a $19.99 version on Amazon. Reviews on the $19.99 version seem to indicate it is refurbished. I'd think the $14.99 version on Amazon is also refurbished.

How is it compared with Surfboard or Linksys modem?
I don't know anything about this specific model, but every netopia that I've ever worked on in the past is pure garbage. they were all flimsy, thin plastic and the network ports regularly short out and stop working.

Thanks. I am looking for a new Docsis 3.0 modem and prefer Motorola SURFboard SB6120 but it's till overpriced at this time.

Is this router/modem compatible with Comcast (i.e. usable as the primary cable modem)?

Don't buy from this bedeals. The one was advertised as new. I bought one router, which I got was used and not working. I asked for return it is 15 days; I didn't get the RMA # and clear instruction for return..

The last time that BeDeals had this on sale, they advertised it as new and shipped refurbished ones. They did, however, offer to refund $5.00 to buyers who purchased it. I would also note that the packaging for shipping was very flimsy, resulting in a bent antenna for the modem/router that I received. All in all, the modem/router works well, but it was a royal PITA to set-up.

I think that the QC on the refurb is better.. refurb can be anything from a customer return because they didnt like it.. and the stuff is tested very well.
I bought a refiurb hard drive for my laptop

I work for a chip supplier of Netopia and they had Bandwidth issues on this specific model because of counterfeited devices from China (replacing the device from my company)... don't be surprised if the your modem fails to deliver the full bandwidth from the provider.
what the heck for 10 bucks! in 4 1!

Well, I went ahead and jumped on this deal...Nothing like having a backup dsl modem onhand.
Anybody else getting the emails from bedeal saying they shipped your item to the wrong address etc...

Where can you get the new one from Verizon? That's been dead for weeks.

Guess the deal is dead. Can anyone tell me the difference in the $19.99 and $14.99 ones sold on Amazon? Not sure what it means by bulk packaging.
We already use one 3347 in our FL office and we are getting a 2nd DSL line installed this week. AT&T shipped them a Motorola 2210 and while I could probably get that working, I already know exactly how to configure the 3347 with our firewall.
Anyone receive the modem yet ??
