Pretty good price for a 3 pack. It's always nice to have one of these around the house just in case.

That was a $258. This is $205. I guess if you have big money you can get the other one.

Honestly, this is scary. Why is this being sold online? Who would buy it? Surely no hospital would actually purchase supplies from Amazon.com And if they did, would you ever want to go there?

This should be frontpage, my family is quite large (pun intended) time to stock up.

With the cost of health care rising it may make sense to save.

What worries me most was under "Customers who viewed this item also viewed" was:

Deluxe Skull Mace w/ Custom Sheath & Dagger (http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Skull-Custom-Sheath-Dagger/dp/B002WK0682/ref=pd_sbs_hpc_3) by TOP

Is that the alternative to anesthesia?

Anyone watch 1,000 Ways to Die? They had two guys try to use a hose vacuum to suck the fat out and his buddy killed him. It was pretty sick.

Why wouldn't a hospital buy supplies from Amazon? It's not like they make it, they just sell it. It all comes from the same manufacturers. How's it different from getting it from any supplier.

Hospital/doctors should be like mechanics. I can bring my own parts to the mechanic, why can't I bring my own supplies to the doctor? Hospitals/doctors seriously gouge on supplies. If a mechanic did the same, the government would be up in arms. The medical profession gets the green light. I think people would be shocked if they knew how much things actually cost. A friend of mine goes to the Naval hospital. There, they have price tags on everything. Things the local hospital charged my dad $20-$30 for are like 25-50 cents at the Naval hospital. That should be criminal.

5.0 out of 5 stars I performed a laparoscopic gastric bypass on myself after watching a video on youtube!, January 16, 2011

This review is from: Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass - DYNJS0303 - Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass - 3 Per Case - Model DYNJS0303 (Health and Beauty)
I performed the procedure on myself after watching one on youtube, and let me tell you- it was the easiest thing in the world! I went from a portly 388 lbs to a sexy 112 lbs. Ever since I have lost this weight, I have been approached by many rich men and I have been offered many modelling contracts.

Check out the review. 5 out of 5

Indeed. This is just a pre-packaged sterile kit that can be used with a gastric bypass surgery. It does not include anything "dangerous". It's just some gauze, tubing, syringes, drapes and towels. By itself, you cannot do much with it, other than wash a car and baste a turkey.

So NO, you cannot do surgery with this kit. You would need to buy the kit that comes with a surgical suite, a surgeon, an anesthesiologist, 1-2 residents, a scrub nurse or two, a circulating nurse, surgical instruments, a suction machine, a scope (most likely), a surgical table, suture material...etc.

Again, I agree that hospitals definitely gouge on supplies. But if you are going to a doctor that charges for supplies then you need to find a new doctor. I've never had a doctor's office charge for supplies. If they did you would see charges for things like exam gloves, tongue depressors, disposable otoscope covers, gowns (or gown cleaning)...etc.

Show makes no assertion that its vignettes are true or accurate. Otherwise, I might watch.

Just reviewed it on Amazon's site.

For a third party kit, I definitely found it serviceable.
