Does US Appliance charges tax?

From their web-site:

No Sales Tax
Save Money! We don't collect state sales tax on delivery to any state across the United States. (with exception to Michigan, Ohio and Indiana deliveries)

http://www.us-appliance.com/orderinformation.html#no

I was impressed with their service.

PS - I think their price for the same package is $2,049 - it was posted a few days ago on slickdeals.

Amazon dropped the price probably because of the US Appliance Promo. The Amazon Promo calls for the BD-C5900 Blu-ray , but will also let you choose the BD-6900 that is back-ordered. I ordered the PN-50C8000 with the BD-C6900 last week. Cancelled the 6900 and got the 5900 (Bought as gift and wanted something in stock). The interesting thing is because the BD-6900 is back-ordered there were separate receipts. So canceling the 6900 took $244 off the Bundled Price.

I forgot the point of this post was I was able to get the Bundle for $80 less by doing the above. Canceling BD-C6900 and ordering the BD-C5900. The difference between price of the two Blu-ray players. YMMV

After shipment of your purchased device, you will receive an email offering you a promotional credit worth $5 at Amazon Video On Demand, Amazon.com's digital video store. As described in the email, after you successfully register your device with Amazon Video On Demand, the $5 credit will be automatically applied to your account and will be automatically applied to your purchase or rental of eligible movies or TV shows. This offer is subject to terms and conditions. See www.amazon.com/samoffer for details.
Extra bonus on the bundle, if anyone cares...

EDIT: Just checked, the UN46C8000 with the same BD player and 3D kit is $1,783.04 at checkout, in case anyone's in the market for that one too.

Never been a deal like this on the NX810. It's an exceptional set but never goes for this kind of price with the bundle. It's too bad the Samsung doesn't have the monolithic styling of the Sony. The Samsung colors really pop out but imo the Sony NX810 has the more realistic picture and styling wise there is no comparison. I would be very surprised if Amazon had this type of deal on the NX810 anytime soon and don't underestimate the shipping and return policy of Amazon compared to other online merchants. You get a bad set online from a vendor other than Amazon its not pleasant. Great deal if your looking for a Samsung.

Well, I saw NX810 and C8000 side by side and I think both were equally good. I think Sony is usually overpriced.

I must say that Samsung has quality issues with their TVs. The first TV I received had blotches on the screen when watching movies in the dark. I had it replaced and this one has a good screen. The sucky thing with this one is when you plug in the ethernet cable it crashes my entire home network! I can't even access the router. So I don't know.

I agree the Sony is a little on the over priced side but even if you rate pictures equal the Sony monolithic styling pushes it way ahead of the Samsung. I like Samsung but they need to step it up on their look. As I stated earlier I think the Samsung colors stand out more but the Sony's pic is more real. It all depends on what you like. I have long been a Samsung fan but NX810 in styling makes the Sony look like a Vizeo.

What's the latest on this idea? I'm torn between the US Appliance $2049 deal and this one. Can we order 5900 for now, sell it later and buy 6900? Is it worth the effort and money? The only reason to do that would be Amazon's 30-day return policy vs US-Appliance's.

That's good! I thought they'd charge you for the entire amount. How about buying the 6900 from bestbuy or something and later sell the one amazon ships if we're not able to cancel. Bestbuy has it for 279.99. It's a few bucks more overall, but need a blu-ray to go with the TV! Or is it better to just get the 5900? Is the difference between 5900 and 6900 worth the effort?

Just to be sure, Amazon.com lets you return the entire bundle in 30 days at no extra cost right? Any strings attached? Can I return it if I don't like the picture quality for what I'm watching?

If your going to buy the package with the 5900 Blu-ray. First buy it with the Back-ordered 6900 Player, then wait until TV has shipped and cancel the Back-ordered player and order the 5900 that is in stock. This will save you around $80. All items were on separate invoices because of the Back-order.

the TV will always display at 240hz...the info you see when you turn on your TV is just the info about the signal itself. (meaing: your cable is delivered to you at 60hz...your TV then converts it to display at 240hz)

Also, you did not mention this but this is a pet peeve of mine and will probably come up: you do NOT "turn off" the 240hz feature. Samsung's motion interpolation (aka Soap Opera effect aka "Auto Motion Plus") is NOT the same thing as 240hz! You can turn off the motion interpolation (which i recommend) but you do not turn off the 240hz!

That's the one I bought for my DS. If you order it with the 6900 and then cancel the Back-ordered 6900 after the TV ships. You will only be charged for the Shrek kit and TV. The TV is on a separate order because of the back-ordered 6900. I paid $1700 or something close to that (price matched later when price dropped). The TV showed up as $1300 on the receipt, would show less now because of the price drop.

Edit: Wanted to add YMMV, because I ended up ordering the 5900 Blu-ray, which dropped my Bundle price by $80. The diff. in price between the BR Players

I went ahead and did this deal at the end of January. I got the backordered 6900 Blu ray player and got the Shrek 3D kit. Im thinking about canceling the backordered blue ray player but Im keeping the 3D kit with glasses. Does anyone know the compatibility between the glasses and the blu ray player? Do you have to have a Samsung blu ray player with the Samsung glasses? If not I might cancel and get a PS3. But if the glasses dont work with a PS3 I would be SOL. Thanks.

PS3 will work with your tv... 3D and all.

PS3 3D limitation applies to all TV though... look that up yourself.

Price for the TV dropped to $1975

6900 and 5900 both are not in stock (not sold by amazon.com at the moment). Is there still a way to do a price match to lower than 2098 right now?
