How come some are bolded and some aren't? (Mine aren't)

Newer threads are bold until you click on them, mark the thread as read, or until the server marks them as read.

What's weird is that sometimes I will read them and they will still be bold, or even if I am the last person to reply. Also threads from previous days don't seem to be bold (to me) unless someone replies to them after the board un-bolds them. It's kind of weird...

I've had a few lately that stayed bold after I viewed them and before anyone posted newly in them. I think it's just a tiny glitch. I think the site has gotten a lot more popular recently and it may be putting an extra load on the servers.
