Is it possible to receive an email everytime someone posts a new topic to any folder?
I tried to understand RSS but I am not sure if it can help me.
Can anyone comment?

That would be a lot of email.
RSS is a better fit, both because it's better suited to this (won't nuke the servers) and because it's already set up.
If you need help getting going with RSS, you might start a thread in Tech Support.

There were over 200 new threads in Hot Deals alone yesterday, and more new threads in the other sections. You'd have a continuous stream of email.
Follow the instructions for using RSS and see if it would work for you.

Yes. Go back to the part of the forum you want emails on, click Forum Tools on the right, click suscribe.

I don't have a problem receiving emails cuz I have outlook. It takes less than a milisecond to delete an email.
The problem is the subscription method in slickdeals works daily not per posting. So what good is an email if it is a day old?
And for the RSS, I do not know how to use it.

Well with Opera, when you goto the Hot Deals page, you click on that little Orange thing that looks like a signal kind of (same with firefox) and it will ask you to subscribe, and it works fine, well at least with Opera. Whenever there is a new thread, you should be alerted, although I don't know how fast.

You mean the orange button on the top left that says RSS?
when I click on it, 1-2 pages of coding comes up, it is like a software language but there is no space or bar to input my email adress there.
Please help.

IE6 and older don't do RSS. IE7 does.

Use Firefox or Opera to do this...

I will go home and check if I have 6.0 or 7.0
So when I upgrade to 7.0 what is it gonna say?

IE 7? It's still in beta, I recommend you don't install that. Get Firefox or Opera, much safer and more feature packed.

A small percentage in both cases. Opera has a number of things built in specifically to prevent this.
God, why is everything so hard?
Because Microsoft doesn't especially care for standards.

Guys, I found this, what do you think? I think this is what I want
My understanding is that it's built to look at the deals that make it to the front page, I could be wrong.
There are plenty of free RSS readers, suggestions have been made in previous threads:

Some pages will not appear right? You kidding? They both work fine for me... Both Firefox and Opera are superior to Internet Explorer (even IE 7). Microsoft is ages behind with their browser. Their current browser doesn't even have tabs for god's sake.
It's infact very simple. Just Download either Firefox or Opera, and goto the Hot Deals, click on the Orange icon, and that's it! You're all set. If you don't like Opera or Firefox, get a RSS reader, that works well too. If you have any questions, just ask here, we'll be glad to help.

Picky picky picky. Instead of spending all the time here posting about how you don't understand something, you could have read up on it and figured it out by now.
