What I mean is I think it's to me beyond obvious they're not gunning for a win. THey just want the money.
BUT, I think it's a 2 fold thing at play right now...
I think also they're being paid off to do all this stuff. They're SO far extreme on the right when it comes to buffoonery that it makes the other candidates look much more center.
And this will translate in a republican who may have looked boring initially or one that may have been extreme in his own regards to now look "safe".
It's like if you were to go on a date with only crazy people within a month's time...eventually you'll start to rank the crazies you dated and in your head you'll discount their craziness compared to the others.
Yep, I think it's a conspiracy. Or mainly just an organized bet. The republican party knows that the good ones to run against Obama have either tried before and failed, or can't capture the attention of their party on a grand scale. Get a bunch of crazies on TV and make the party members pay attention to the ones who seem sane.

No. They just know the value of and how to get publicity cheap.

When they picked Palin as Vice Presidential running mate of a 70+ year-old Presidential candidate, they were playing to win.
Palin believes that the Lord wants her to be President. She probably wants to get her hands on the nukes and begin the Rapture.

Yup I agree Rebound if the Republicans had run a better choice in the last election we would probably not be in the situation we are now.

I always wonder what state the world would be in now if McCain had been the 2000 runner. If I'm around when we invent a time machine to go backwards, that's what I'd like to see.

For one thing, her rallys were bringing in much bigger crowds than McCain's were.
As President, McCain would have been about the same -- taxes would be the same as they are now, and the situation with the wars would be the same. We'd still have Medicaid and Social Security. The Republicans probably wouldn't have won mid-terms.

In 2000? Nobody had heard of Palin in 2000.

In a way...McCain would have been worse. He would have prolonged the pain. At least with Barry's radical leftist agenda...the "bandaid" was pulled off quickly. The resulting shock woke a bunch of people up.

again....in 2000? this would be replacing bush with 2000 mccain, who was very different from 2008 mccain.

Missed that...still the same answer. 2000 McCain was worse than 2008 McCain...but still not as radically Left as Gore....

Pretty much.
I doubt Palin will run. She just has the media on a leash right now, following her around and giving her free publicity. I also doubt Newt thinks he can win, but running for Pres keeps his name out there and helps increase future speaking fees and all that.
