I'm not sure who can (if anyone) answer this question for me. But I will view a thread, then click either the forum jump bar or the forums link near the top of the site and re-enter the forum only to find the thread I have just viewed is still highlighted. I'll look at the thread again and there would have been no new posts, so I'll click forums and get back into the forum and see the thread is still highlighted. (please note I remain logged in the entire time).
Any reason as to why this would be? Anyone else having this prob? Any help?
Thanks.

The opposite seems to happen to me. I have threads that are not highlighted that I have never been in and have new posts. Is that normal?

it could be that your internet explorer is set not to refresh pages so often, so it redisplays the page exactly like it did a moment ago. if you are using internet explorer, open the view tab on the top of the page and under the general tab there are three sections, the middle section states temporary internet files, click "settings" and change it to check for new version every time i visit page. Just a humble suggestion that may or may not work.

if you hit the back button it will refer to the cached page. hit F5 after you hit the back button, see what happens.

yeah I do realize this, like I said earlier.... "then click either the forum jump bar or the forums link near the top of the site and re-enter the forum only to find the thread I have just viewed is still highlighted"
it seems to have taken care of itself for whatever reason.
