They didn't say "Let us" they said "We will." I emailed the fulfillment company which notified me of the win and asked if I could please pick my own size and female. They came back the next day and said they'd checked with the sponsor and they'd said "No." That's when I came to the FF, complaining and moaning as usual, asking what I was supposed to do if they sent me men's size 18. For some very strange reason, SOME people thought it was funny. And the clown shoes story was born.

But then it got even weirder. I got an email from the actual sponsor last Thursday or Friday (doesn't time pass quickly when you're being driven insane?) telling me that they had a certain number of sandals to give away in various sizes so let them know what I wanted ASAP because it was first come, first served. I hit "Reply" so fast the breeze knocked papers off my desk. Gave them the information and like 10 seconds later I received a notice that the email hadn't gone through "for security reasons." WTH???

I tried again, same result. Tried from like three other email accounts, same result. I don't know if it was because I was sending them through the Center's server or if the problem was on their end. Finally, after about 7 tries, it wasn't bounced back. So I sent another one explaining the problem and that wasn't bounced back.

When I got home I sent yet another one and that wasn't bounced back. Of course, it's also possible that NONE of them went through and I just didn't get a message about the rejection.

May be clown shoes in my future after all. OR 10 pairs of sandals. :lmao:

My sister is pi$$ed!! She just went to the vet with 2 dogs and a cat. Was told before hand it would be $160. They charged her for 3 office visits and 3 office visits with exam at $50 each!!! Final total was $280 for heart worm and kitty Xanax!!! Ive been telling her that her vet was the most money greedy in Springfield. Its now $140 to get the cat fixed. Its cheaper to send her to the pound and adopt her back for $80 just to get the free certificate. Called about it and they said they would accept her but unless she was beautiful and without fleas and worms she would be put down immediately!!! We have to take her 20 miles away to get her fixed for $40. Cant beleive the greed from people who say they love animals!

He did PSU his first year, worked full time, studied on his own (not school related) and got cetified as a Pham-tec. Then he worked at a local hospital and loaded up summer courses at our community college. He then transfered to PITT and got a job as a software developer out there. They wanted him to work for their Boston branch over the summer but he really needed a break at home

That's insane! around here there is a place that does just immunizations and spay/neuter. It is a non for profit organization. To spay a cat is $20 For all shots is maybe $20. You can even buy any oral or topical flea/tick control CHEAP!

I feel really really low!!!! Just got an automated reminder from Mediacom about the technician coming to switch my internet service. They started out good but its really depressing when an automated device forgets your name. It just said it was a call to remind ______ ________ about the appointment on Wednesday. Being that it was just a machine and not a real person I talked back to it and asked if it was having a glitch!! It hung up on me!!!!! WTF!!! Dissed by a robocall!!!

I've actually talkled back sarcastically to a robo-voice, and then found out it was a real person! :lol: Got my final bill from time warner today after switching to uverse. It was $1,100.....:eek:
Had to make my 5th call to tell them I DID return the equipment...sheesh!!! Hope medicom works out for you :)

Had to pay a back bill to Mediacom because they said I didnt turn in a remote. I turned in the one they gave me but they swear they gave me a different one. I made them remove it but they swear I still owed them for a modem I never turned in. Told them I thought I had bought it so I robbed parts off of it. Their records indicate I rented it!! Paid for the modem since its still cheaper than AT&T!!!

:lmao: I use to work in Customer service on the phones - and between a certian time at night the would update everynight, and since they never knew if it would be 10 mins or an hour, the would not set the automated answer. We would just say " I am sorry our system is updating, please call back in 1 hour" . You would not believe all the people that talk back. :lmao: Thinking it was automated. Then if you answered back, they would be so embarassed and tell you they thought it was a machine. Sometimes it was really funny!!!!

Thank goodness I kept the receipt! I worked at a call center for a year, it was like being sentenced to prison..just awful the way we were treated!! But I decided to make the most of it and became a super duper rep, sold all kinds of things, never absent...I got fired for applying an expired coupon on a Harrah's hotel (they GIVE the rooms away!) Cost them about $5, but those were the rules! But I did get unemployment...West Telemarketing....run away as fast as you can!!!
