Using the new beta:
Is it my imagination or can I now see spoilers ever so faintly?
In the past I could not, but now I can vaguely make out that there is text, but still cannot read it clearly.
Anyone else notice this?

That's probably because previously, the spoilers were "invisible" because they were the same color as the background (light yellow).
Now, the background colors have changed, but the color of the spoiler text hasn't. So if you are using any background color other then the old light yellow, the "hidden" text will be (faintly) visible.

I've now been told that others have been able to read spoilers in the classic view...

Confirmed, definitely can not read spoilers in Classic Or Hybrid. I can see a faint text in the SD2.0 theme, but I can not make out anything of it, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a spoiler.

I saw it in the old view as well, but you are right Hose....it is readable here. Before you had to squint your eyes, here you don't even have to do that.

Either that or your monitor is bad - I can hardly see it on certain LCDs, but on the nicer ones it's a lot more apparent.

I had wondered about that. I always used the lemon chiffon tag instead of the spoiler tag, but I was thinking it might be possible to make spoiler tags different colors in the different themes. Then we could all just use them, and have the site automatically adjust the color based on the user's theme.
