This is buried in the opinions thread, but I thought it more of a suggestion than an opinion (since all I am really suggestion is a change of layout, not a change of style/fuction).
This is my 'vision' of a layout of the new slickdeals style. The main deals section is centered (this is something that I liked about Slickdeals before, and it would be ashame to move it to the left) I moved the 'UI Control' section out of the thin column and pushed it to the right of the main deals and the thin column to the left of the main deals. I pushed the 'popular tags' section below the 'hot offers' section which is a benefit to SD because the 'hot deals' section is advertising, and because the 'popular tags' section was busy. The 'Problems?' and RSS Feed were moved to the top left and changed slightly to fit/feel right with the thinner column. I threw in a splash of green and lightened the 'days' header to pull it all together. I did all of this in MSPaint (no, really, I did. You can see this becuase I left white space around the wrench icon on the new 'UI control').
I am suggesting this layout because of many reasons, but mostly because it seems to be a little more clean, and keeps the traditional flavor of slickdeals alive. Any takers?
