this is a suggestion. Other computer sites that I go to have people selling computers and all other sorts of equiptment and I have never been ripped off

I don't think it is breaking the rules to trade something that was free for something someone else got for free

If the value is over $5, it violates the rules.

the reason we don't want to get into this is people can easily get ripped off and we just don't have any means to enforce trades/sales.
at least with items under 5 dollars, if you get scammed, you're not out anything.
look at the airtrans thread, people despite numerous warnings and deletions still went and bought cups from a user here. he took the money and ran. sure we feel bad for the people who got taken, but there wasn't anything we could do.
like zachjowi mentioned, there's other sites that will let you do it. i suggest going there, it doesn't look like this will ever happen here.
