There may be another issue with the thumbs in the beta version of SD

From what I see on a PC using FireFox 1.5.0.7 and Internet Explorer 6.0.2900... as my browsers, when I click on "new posts" and see the list of new posts available, the number of thumbs for threads does not appear to correlate with the actual number of thumbs.

I'm taking screenshots, uploading them to imageshack, and posting the links here:

The beta is using a slightly different rating. The search portion (new posts) for the live site & beta site share some code so it's still using the old rating system. It'll get fixed once beta finalizes.

thank you for your reply and for explaining the reason for the discrepency between the thumbs rating for the search results and the actual threads

it seems, as far as i can tell, that this old code is still being used in SD2.0 ~ the search results' thumbs rating in SD2.0 is showing a rating of half the number of thumbs than the number of thumbs in the actual threads themselves. Also, the same thing seems to be happening with the search results for "today's posts" (for when one is not logged into the site) as well as with any search results (when searching the site or a forum using a word or a set of words)

Thanks for the reminder. It's now displaying the votes correctly.

I didn't think there was a fix for it. The browsers were ignoring the alt tags but using title fixed it.

the thumbs up votes are now displayed correctly, but it seems the thumbs down votes aren't displayed when viewing search results (new posts, todays posts, search for a word/words). is this intentional? just wondering :scratchh:
