Slickdeals homepage?

Just out of curiousity, how are the deals that are on slickdeals frontpage chosen? I didn't even realize until I actually looked that they barely even scratch the surface of the deals that are being posted in the Hot Deals forum.

I suspect this is an faq, but I couldn't find the answer to it when I looked around, sorry.

It is automated. The parameters change every so often.

i would like to know how a "Hot Deal" get chosen to go front page. in the past, i've seen some even hotter deals that don't get front page attention.

confuse3 :confuse3:Of course a mod or Mr. SD is better to answer this, but I believe they (Mods and Mr. SD) make the decision through their judgment. Whether they vote on it or go through a tribunal where the great deals are voted off onto the front page I do not know. I think they get to choose because otherwise they would get 100's of suggestions a day of what the new hot deal is.

mr sd and redsolar handle the front page duties. they take suggestions on deals, but usually pick the best they see from the hot deals section and anythign they've foudn themselves.
