My user cp is showing subscribed threads as updated that have not had new posts in several days, and not showing new subscribed threads, even though they are in my subscribed threads list.

Ahh, so it's not just me.

Just noticed something else - when there's a new post in one of my subscribed threads, it shows up in the user cp like before, but as soon as I view the thread it disappears from the list, rather than staying for some length of time. Maybe this is part of a change - if so, I like it.

Mine is doing this as well. I do NOT like it. I'd like them to stay there for 30 minutes or so before they drop off.

OK, so now this has been going on for several hours. I've sent PM's to 2 mods and it's still all messed up. I DO NOT like the fact that the threads show up in my user CP only until I reply and refresh and then they are gone. I like the list of what I'm working on to stay in the list for at least 30 minutes so I can keep track of the threads I'm working.

Neither of the 2 mods have messaged me back, so what's the glitch with this? Maybe this doesn't matter to people posting in the lounge, hot deals, or elsewhere; but 99% of my activity is in Tech Support -- I like a list of what I'm working on to be available to refresh so I can go to each thread as it is updated.

Callpocket, until it's fixed try viewing All Subscribed Threads (http://forums.slickdeals.net/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription&folderid=all)

Yes, thanks for that. I can do that, but User CP is my routine, you know? I appreciate your help.

NP!
I know exactly how you feel.

It's working as intended. The system marks the thread as read once you view the last post in a thread. All the quirkiness (http://beta.slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=3836471&postcount=2) of old threads showing up bold should be gone.

The initial page in the UserCP only displays unread subscribed threads. By clicking on it, you marked it read so it doesn't show it there anymore because you read it. Makes sense?

So now the only reason to click on User CP is to see what the last 5 reps you received were. No more seeing what your current subscriptions are. Have to then click on "view all subcribed threads" to see this information. Extra clicks, another step. Progress.

If there's a new post in the subscribed thread, it'll show up in UserCP. The page still shows unread subscribed threads. Once you read them, it doesn't show up because you already read them. If you don't read them forever, it'll stay there forever or until you mark everything read. If someone posts something new, it'll pop back into the UserCP again because you haven't read the latest post.

This is happening to me too. In my usercp it is showing threads as unread that are several days old that I read several days ago. I have also noticed unread threads in the forums that don't show up in my usercp. It's weird. Glad I'm not the only one, this has been doing it for a few days.

I think once you view the threads it will go back to normal.

I clicked on all them not realizing the last post date and it was still messed up. I'll give it some time maybe?

Also, sometimes when I click on the "first unred post" it takes me to a post a few days before the last actual read post.

Did you click the "go to last post" button on the far right?

I click on the "go to first unread post"

When I do, it brings me to posts that were made a few days ago, when I have seen all the posts after that already. If you click on the last post, you will have to go back up and try to remember what you've read already.

Mine are still messed up.

I'm showing subscribed threads that haven't had any new posts since 9/6, some from 9/14, the ones that had new posts minutes ago aren't showing.

I can't make sense of any of it.

Clicking the last post is the only way I could get rid of the obsolete threads.

BTW, you won't have to try to remember where you left off - the little icon next to the date is orange for posts you haven't read.

Invalid link.

I'll try click on them.

That seemed to fix it, thanks. Luckily I have firefox and can click all them open in background tabs. Otherwise that's like 40 threads to go to and go back.

Clicking on the last post or the last page will mark the thread as read.
