IDK how it came up, but it was random, I was in the middle of packing up to move up to college and she gave me this talk. I had a circumcision talk with my mom today and how the skin works going up and down, I'm almost 20. She asked me if i wanted one.

I know right, she was like your dad's supposed to be the one to give you the talk, but I will instead. And this is the first sex-related talk we ever had together, with both/either of my parents. Well I'm Chinese and most of our culture doesn't really do this.

Unless you're worried about hygiene, I'd say don't worry about it. I don't know that I'd want to experience that sort of pain at your age. I mean.....how is it going to feel when you wake up with morning wood because you have to pee?

Isn't it a large misconception that circumcised = better hygiene? I mean really, just hit it with some water...it'll thank you later.

Um....I......you live in California right?

You are required to go to a health class that teaches sex ed where you learn awesome stuff like "penis" and "vagina". That's during high school.

In elementary though, we had to watch a video back from like the 1980's on it.

Please don't tell me your mother signed a note to not watch that and you are only now discussing this.

Well currently, I guess it is better uncut, with bearing how it would be after, and this is how we are born naturally so why change that. It's like a persons tonsils, you can remove it or not, but it is in our body and serves a purpose, whether we know what it does or not. I mean if you asked me when I was way younger or if I was cut, I would be indifferent. Even now I would say I am indifferent, but prefer to stay the way I am. As for your wondering with your son, it depends, see I googled the issue the first few times when the skin uncovered the head and why it was so painful because of the sensitivity. And I solved that issue, so I would say no problems now. However, if its someone who has never done it or felt the pain, then yea it would be painful and it'd be better to cut. However if they were cut in the later ages, like if I did, it would still be painful, not the procedure itself, but the next week or so that follows where you walk around with a limp/bow leg type of pain due to the sensitivity. Yes I know what you mean about my mom, she was just bringing up the issue bc it happened with my dad and wanted me to know about it, if you do, happen to, discuss it with your son, please do not bring up the SO so soon, not a good way to start the convo.

20 years old? You are young. But, 20 years old is late for college isn't it?
