These are great cherries. I've been buying them for years. This is about as low as they've been recently.

Price is starting to go up a bit on these. My last purchase in May 2011 was for $17.76. Still a great price though and I'm just about due for some more...

There's nothing more awkward than bringing these as snacks to a superbowl party. Try this... bring this to a superbowl party and hide a microphone in the box. Then leave the room. Later, listen to what was said while you were out of the room. It will blow your mind.

Since I want to be invited back I will stick to bringing the chili.

I bought these twice. April 2011 ($17.76) and June 2011 ($19.04).

My family loved the box in April. It was gone within a month with us limiting how much the kids can consume. I was willing to buy another box at a slightly higher price knowing that I could wait and buy it at a lower price. Unfortunately, the box in June was so sour/tart that we couldn't finish it yet. Now, I'm not sure if I should take a chance a buy another box to see if I can get the quality I have received in April. Hope they are more consistent with their product.

I don't understand what you've written.

Are you saying he was banned for posting the deal? If so, why?
Or are you commanding me to post the deal? If so, which?

Are these artificially sweetened or the suger content is natural?

Ingredient list said

Ingredients
Cherries, Sugar, Sunflower Oil (not A Significant Source of Fat).

So I'm assuming it's only some real sugar with no artificial sweeteners.

And yeah! I wanna know what happened with the OP too :woot:

I'm going to pass because of the added sugar. I would rather have a little tartness than a bunch of extra sugar in my food. Glad you guys are supporting companies from my state though. Michigan thanks you.

Can anyone please let me know how long these dried cherries can stay ? I'm visiting my relatives in Asia in this December, I wanna take these cherries there as gift for them because they don't have this kind of fruit in Asia.
And also, do these come in many small packages in a big box or in one big bag ?!

I bought it many months ago but I think it came in one big bag. These cherries will last several months, longer if you store them in the fridge. I separated them into ziplocks and stored one in my desk and the other I placed in the fridge.

Thanks. I was just about to ask how these things are packaged, because I'm concerned with freshness, too.

I, typically, buy the ones from Costco. Those are 1 pound 4 oz bags. They're not exactly "stale" by the time I get to the end of the bag, but they're certainly not as fresh as when I first opened the bag.

Purchasing these would definitely represent a savings, Guess I could just parcel them off into storage bags, as you suggest, and refrigerate them.

You've given me something to consider.

For anyone who has ordered this from Amazon before.... will these "expire" soon? I'm thinking of getting these for Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I ordered them when they were on sale back in May and they lasted a couple of months. I think you would be safe to buy now for the Holiday season.

I frequently buy dried cherries at Costco. It is ~$7 for a 1lb bag (I believe its 1lb). Regardless just for one person, I think I will stick to buying the smaller bags, but they are a very addictive snack!

I just pour some (1/3 to 1/2) of the 4# bag into a container to use and then reseal the original bag using my vacuum sealer or in a zip-top bag. Once I'm out in my container, I repeat. It's as easy as that and you save a lot of money per pound by buying in bulk!

Thanks for the deal OP, no intent to knock that. But to the mods: since when does a product selling at amazon for pretty much the average price it has been selling at there for over six months (per camel) -- in fact, selling for MORE than it was last week, and what it was the entire months of March, April, and May -- qualify as a front page deal?
