I'm hoping some of you guys will help out with this. Maybe others are also looking for a new monitor. I'm looking hopefully for a 24" LED Monitor for around 150. If you have other monitors you are looking for we could all post the deals here. I'm not quite sure on what a good price is, so if you have input, please share. Thanks.

I'd like to see a 24" IPS for around $125.
MUST be a good brand (Dell, Samsung, ASUS etc).

Thats about my only hardware wish this year.

I don't know if they'll ever drop that low.

yea, for IPS at that size, i think about $175 is the lowest you are likely to see it for a while, IF at that even. $200 would be a a pretty great deal for one from what i've seen, so less than that is unlikely. But this is without much in the way of research!
I'm also watching for a good monitor deal myself. 24 is nice, i want it for playing games and normal use myself.

The Asus VH236H is a gamer TN panel (non-LED) with 2ms response. It sold for $130 last BF and only sometimes makes that price now.

The Asus VH238H /-P is probably the one to go on sale this year. Personally, if I can get a VH236H shipped for $130 I would jump on it today. BF deals are good, but I need to play Skyrim/BF3 sooner than that

Are these asus monitors that much better than Viewsonic 23'' LED or any of the other 23'' monitors? What makes them better? They all have 1900X1080/HDMI etc. Are you just buying it because it has 2ms? You cant even notice 5ms-2ms difference.

Question, why would a gamer not want led?

Question, why would a gamer not want led?

For what ever reason (haven't looked into causes ect...) LED monitors (atleast in my "less than 300$" "AKA less than 150 for a slickdealer" price range) tend to have a significant amount of input lag and/or ghosting.

Here is a list of acceptable monitors you should be looking for:

So if I purchased this monitor (http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/62140) that wouldn't be good? I was looking for 24 inch LED with a 2 ms response time which was what I bought.

Im not saying its BAD, I am saying as a 2-3hours a day gamer, and the rest photoshop/video work I can't have input lag.

That particular monitor is new and doesn't have any real rest reviews that I can find about input lag. The only way you can tell is to play some games on it... you will either notice it or you won't.

I myself CAN notice it on many cheap monitors (like the one I borrowed from school once).

I'm looking for 24" IPS monitors with a 16:10 aspect ratio. I like the Dell u2412 but it is a little pricey.

I might go with a Dell u2412 and then in a few weeks or some time down the road get "cheaper" 16:9 24" IPS monitors. I want to thin bezels and the ability for the monitors to pivot so i can put them in portrait mode for productivity and eyefinity.

I want the middle/main monitor to be 16:10 so if <24" is a good bit cheaper then I will get all 3 monitors of that size.
