Does this really work? I don't shop at Kohls too often so I'm not super familiar with their policies, but isn't KC usually only good for a specified time period? By returning with a gift receipt and getting store credit, you wouldn't have to use the store credit in that same time period, correct? Is there any downside to doing this, i.e. Kohls tracking your purchases and returns (since you're using a Kohls card)?

Just make sure the 30% code is listed now on Mr. Rebates as if it is not a listed code there you forfeit your cash back. The 30% code was not there this morning when I ordered and that is why I went through urlhasbeenblocked for 4% cash back. Never had a problem with them.

Yes, it will be charged. Anything that carries a shipping surcharge is in addition to the normal shipping cost. The normal shipping cost will be free, but the surcharge will still apply.

The DC33 would be the way to go except it's not a "ball" vacuum and when weight and maneuverability are important sadly Dyson requires you to give up some suction power and get a smaller dirt container with the DC25.

I placed an order (using 30% off only since the 15% doesn't stack anymore), and called them up. First, the CSR said that they don't match Ace Hardware because it isn't a competitor. He even called his help desk to confirm when I objected. I found this rediculous because not only is it a physical and online store, like Kohls, but they sell a lot of the same stuff. The website doesn't specify any restrictions. He said that Kohls sells clothing and Ace doesn't, and that's why. I said that would be like Target not PM'ing Best Buy because they don't sell diapers.

I escalated to a supervisor who said that normally they don't PM stores that aren't on their 'list', but he would make an exception for me. HOWEVER, he said the most that they could take off is 15% on a PM. I said that a 'friend' was able to get 30+15+PM yesterday when the coupons stacked. The supervisor said that was impossible. The only way two codes can be entered is by the customer online, but that doesn't allow PM'ing. And once an order is placed, the customer service department cannot modify it at all, outside of canceling it. They can't change price, quantity, color, size, etc.

I said "my friend showed me their receipt proving it", trying to play hardball, but the supervisor didn't budge. He said it is completely impossible. The only way a CSR can price match is to cancel the order if it was placed and place a new one (or just place an order if one wasn't placed yet). But not only can they not apply more than 15%, but they is no way their system's will accept two coupon codes.

So Kohls says you are lying :).

The customer service rep I dealt with "wasn't supposed to tell me this but" the codes stacking was a glitch in the system. They were never meant to work together. She said someone discovered the glitch and it "spread like wildfire" (GO SLICKDEALERS! lol) before their tech dept caught it and fixed the "problem".

Bottom line, it will not be working again, or anything like it, unless another "glitch" is discovered.

I managed to get three orders in before they closed the hole… $250 total paid for probably $750 retail after the sale prices + additional stacked 40% total discount. Sure I was planning on getting even more today and tomorrow, but add in the $50 Kohl's cash I earned on top of all that and I'm not complaining. :)

i was having issues with my Kohls charge card, so i called in and spoke to a manager. she made a "one time exception" in allowing me to place the order through her (this morning) with the 30% and 15% off...she actually even said "are you sure you don't want to add anything else since this is a one time thing of being able to stack both codes?"

so i'm not sure if they REALLY are going to cancel/adjust people's orders or what... but i know i will be getting mine (she just did 30% off and said she'd be issuing the $25 (15% off) as a credit. She then also said because she'd be issuing the credit my kohls cash would go from $30 to $20... however at the moment i dont see the credit and still have $30 kohls cash balance

They can't just adjust your charge to a higher price without the consumer agreeing to it. They can cancel the order though.

I ordered on Wed (Nov. 9) and all my stuff shipped yesterday (Nov. 11). No mention of price adjustment or cancellation. I highly doubt Kohls will do anything.

The Kev Master agrees with buyitjody and he knows that Ionizer is just upset that he didn't get in on the slickery like he and the other SDers that did.


He even managed to get price adjustments on things that became cheaper yesterday compared to when he ordered them on Wednesday.

i agree with everything you say, i was simply saying what the supervisor told me (not that i believed her either) and figured i'd just reiterate it. it's rare they will deal with the hassle and unsatisfied customers if they were to cancel and try to readjust

if the douche master wasn't so busy talking in 3rd person, he would have seen that i actually did get in on the deal. can't you go missing again for like a 6 month period of time...those are good times at SD when you stop posting

I'm guessing the CSR was just saying that to you so you would think you weren't really missing out and then making you feel special by giving you the deal anyway. Kinda funny the way she handled it. I'm glad you were able to get an adjustment.

I didn't even see this particular thread until today (Nov. 12). I look out on the Kohls deal talk thread (in the wiki) to keep up on the latest coupons and they had it posted in the wiki that you could stack the two coupons. I needed to do start some Christmas shopping, so I used them. So glad I just happened to get in on it before Kohls caught it. But now wish I would have done little more shopping at the time (it was late, so I only shopped for 4-5 folks in my family).

How exactly did you do this?

I placed an order (using 30% off only since the 15% doesn't stack anymore), and called them up. First, the CSR said that they don't match Ace Hardware because it isn't a competitor. He even called his help desk to confirm when I objected. I found this rediculous because not only is it a physical and online store, like Kohls, but they sell a lot of the same stuff. The website doesn't specify any restrictions. He said that Kohls sells clothing and Ace doesn't, and that's why. I said that would be like Target not PM'ing Best Buy because they don't sell diapers.

I escalated to a supervisor who said that normally they don't PM stores that aren't on their 'list', but he would make an exception for me. HOWEVER, he said the most that they could take off is 15% on a PM. I said that a 'friend' was able to get 30+15+PM yesterday when the coupons stacked. The supervisor said that was impossible. The only way two codes can be entered is by the customer online, but that doesn't allow PM'ing. And once an order is placed, the customer service department cannot modify it at all, outside of canceling it. They can't change price, quantity, color, size, etc.

I said "my friend showed me their receipt proving it", trying to play hardball, but the supervisor didn't budge. He said it is completely impossible. The only way a CSR can price match is to cancel the order if it was placed and place a new one (or just place an order if one wasn't placed yet). But not only can they not apply more than 15%, but they is no way their system's will accept two coupon codes.

So Kohls says you are lying :).

Just so you know that lady new what she was doing because it only took a few minutes 5 maybe because off the pricematch + 15/30 coupons. So if you count the kohls cash I only paid $62.14.

True. I had placed my order originally online, calling in to PM after the fact. They said they couldn't do that, which was fine as I told them to cancel my current order and put in a new one. It was then when I was told that:
1) They are unable to apply >15% to a PM'd order
2) They are unable to use two coupon codes on any order regardless.

Obviously both BS.
