The front page of the forums, where all the different forums are listed, is showing up weird for me. Instead of the nice sleek look of the new SD, it looks as if it is just basic HTML. When I click a forum the threads page shows up as normal. Also, SD is taking a long time to load. No other sites are loading wrong, but are taking a while to load. Any ideas as to what is wrong here?

Change the mode in the bottom left-hand corner. That helps me if the site is messing up. Try changing to Classic.

If it keeps doing it, clean your cache and cookies and try one more time.
Otherwise, you should be able to use Ctrl + Refresh (or Ctrl + F5) to completely reload the content.
If that does not help, can you make a screenshot and post it?

I have cleared cookies and cache and it was still doing it. Now, though everything looks ok. If I catch it again, I will post a screenshot.

Here are two screenshots for you:

Also, I changed to classic just now to see if it fixes it. I was using Hybrid.

Yep, same thing happened to me. Change the mode to Classic.

The classic mode seems to have fixed the problem. (So far...)

Yep, looks like your account must have been tied to a now non-existing theme from the old style site, that seems to have been the problem judging by the screenshot :)
Glad it's fixed now

Don't know if this is related to anything, but the site runs slow for me. Sometimes the drop down boxes for Quick Links, or User CP don't show up. I have to refresh or find another link to go to, to get it to work.

What browser are you using, what OS, and how fast of an internet connection?
Depending on the location, the size of the page can vary from about 100 kilobytes to 500+ kilobytes (in threads with a lot of information). So on slower connections, it can take quite a while to load, and sometimes on very slow connection it can time out and not load all the content, which is why menus would not work.
That's just one possible reason, but there are quite a few more.
One thing to start with would be to change your skin temporarily in the bottom left corner of the forum page, and see if it helps you.

The skin is still set to Classic. If the page loads like I orginially posted about, then it will say hybrid, and I will change it to classic.
I am using IE 6 on Windows XP, DSL or better connection (at work).
Edit: also, in the bottom left corner of IE on the status bar it says Done or Error on page with the little error symbol (yellow triangle with exclamation point) when I'm on the site on I believe all pages.

Run a short test:
Clean your cache and cookies
And load this thread (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=352626) (copy/paste link)
Also, if you have a chance, can you try alternative browsers (Firefox, Opera maybe?) if you can to see if we are not chasing a connection problem here? I realize it's DSL or better, but it does not hurt to make sure.
See how long it takes to load (time it, even approximately if you can)

Took close to 2 minutes to load the link. I will see if I can get a different browser, but not sure. Thanks for your help. I've kind of resigned myself to having to wait. :(

2 minutes sounds like a while, it shoudl not take this long on anything remotely close to high speed, even on 56K it should not take this long...
Wonder what else it can be - have you had a chance to try something other than IE 6 yet?
