View Full Version : I Have a HUGE issue with the moderators on this site

I am not trying to be rebellious or funny by starting this thread, but I have had a serious issue with the SlickDeals.net "warning system", and how warnings are enforced by the moderators on this site. I use this site frequently and have saved a ton of money through use of this site, but lately I have received three separate warnings for posts I've made, mostly in the PS3 Preorder thread. The content of the thread is completely unmoderated, as in, people can go in there and write WHATEVER they want, even when its clearly false and misleading based on mere common sense, and that is fine. But then, I step in and make a comment with regards to believing a specific user should receive a full-out BAN for posting false information with no intentions other than getting other people flustered/worried about their chances of something. Here is my response to a guy who blatently comes in, lies, and gets people worried/asking questions:

can we PLEASE get a mod to come in here and ban this guy?

If he shows us a receipt of this happening, I will pay every single person on this site $20 a piece. I will deliver it to each and every one of your front doors, by hand, in straight cash.

I merely asked for someone to BAN the user who kept posting worthless material and lies. At the end, I was merely showing how strong my belief of his lies were by using a humorous comparison as to the likelihood of what he said being true. I have occasionally made unoffensive off-the-wall comments such as this over the last week, and have been warned basically all three times I did it. I don't understand why ANYONE would "warn" me for doing nothing more than stating that what was originally posted was ridiculous, unwarranted, and untrue. I personally believe the moderators need to just chill out and give people maybe a LITTLE bit of freedom to try and say something funny in an already ridiculous thread. That warning came from "Kel_Be" with the message "Play nice, or don't play at all!". Is what I said really that mean? Kel_Be, you and the rest of the moderators really need to calm down some with regards to your distribution of warning. This is the internet, what I said offended NO ONE in that thread, if anything people found it funny. Let people have some fun on this site. And I don't want to hear "take it to the off-topic forum", because what i was saying was strictly in relation to the erroneous discussion taking place in the PS3 preorder thread at the time.

As the rules state, if you have a dispute with a warning, please contact the Moderater who issued the warning(s).
