Class 4 is good for phones and pmp.

Also reputed seller like Amazon and not like fakes from 1saleday/bedeals etc.

Wow this is not fp.

Dude, dig up reviews. I pretty much disregard the class rating now since some class 6 cards are faster than class 10 cards. It's best to dig up benchies.

Likewise. Still, class 4 is 'good enough' for what I'm using it for. Hopefully I'll benchmark it and see how it goes. I don't know too much in this area, nor how good Transcend produces microSD. Still, the reviews look good to just give it a try.

Depends. If you are using it as a drive. Yes. If you are using it for OS, the class rating is pretty much meaningless.

class would matter for video cam and dslr's where 1080p recording as well as read write speed is important.

Hmm? For the purpose of this discussion did you mean some class 4 cards being faster than class 6? In this case I looked up the reviews and it isn't.

What you're saying is certainly true though. Always pays to look up reviews and what speeds people are actually getting.

Woot had a sandisk for $30 shipped. I believe 1saleaday matched it as well.

Amazon might have had it for $28 at some point. I do know it was $28 shipped.

This IS an average deal. It's a good price, but if you don't need it, I wouldn't jump on it.

I recently purchased a 32gb microSD and, since I did my research at that time, I can say that this is a good deal. Anything remotely close to this price were from one-item-a-day type sites or from shady sellers who were probably selling knockoffs. Granted, the price on SD cards has been steadily dropping, I would definitely jump on this if I needed one. At most, you might see some of these around the $25 mark on BF.

Good deal OP, TU.

Dont hold your breath unless your device takes SDXC. SDHC cards top out at 32gb, hence the widespread marketing of "up to 32gb". Next gen SDXC goes from 32gb up to 2TB.

proof there was a $30 sandisk 32gb: http://phandroid.com/2011/09/23/1saleaday-offering-32gb-sandisk-microsd-card-for-30/

the folks at 1saleaday have posted a great deal today for a 32gb microsd card from sandisk. you can get the card for just $30 (plus $5 for shipping and handling), a hell of a deal considering it still costs around $50 at most retailers (and considering these things used to be amazingly expensive just a short year ago). It also comes with an sd card adapter.

thanks for playing

I thought SDHC slot can read SDXC cards? I could be wrong.
From sdcard.org....

Q- Is SDXC compatible with existing SD devices?
A- Existing SD and SDHC devices are not be compatible with new SDXC memory cards, but existing SD and SDHC memory cards will still continue to be offered by card manufacturers for the foreseeable future. Existing SD and SDHC memory cards will work in SDXC devices.

That's why many devices (including my new Android phone) specifically say they can only take 32gb cards. Make sure before you buy that your device can take SDXC before you go for a card over 32gb.
