I think it would be nice if Slickdeals had a browser toolbar. I know I would use it. There is a site, Conduit.com, where you can make a toolbar for free. It is spyware, virus and malware free. The "catch" is that it must include a search box, and Conduit gets a cut from Google ads clicked in the searches. But the search box can be customized, so it could also be a search box for Pricegrabber and ResellerRatings. The toolbars also have the ability to display RSS feeds, so it could be an easy way for people to check the deals without coming to the site. They can also have custom (coded) components added to them too. It would be a very handy feature, and could bring more clicks (and sales) in with the busy holiday shopping season.

I made a toolbar for a site I was a member of when the site was called EffectiveBrand, and it was really easy (it took less than an hour), and I checked my computer for any malware afterward, and there wasn't any. When any updates to the toolbar are made all the users' toolbars change automatically. If one of you site admins has a free hour you can make one very easily. I know I would use a toolbar if SD had one. :)

I don't currently use a toolbar, but I would definitly consider using one if it was made by SD for SD. It would be a good tool

I just want to get pop up whenever there's a good deal. You know sometimes you're late for the good stuff.

You could click on a little thing that would display the front page deals, or hot deals, similar to live bookmarks in Firefox :) If you checked it fairly often, especially the front page one, you wouldn't miss anything :)

BTW this toolbar works on Firefox and IE and is easy to enable and disable, or uninstall...

:iagree: I dont normally like toolbars, but if it was SD and updated deals and such on it, I'd be all for it. This should definitely be considered

Thanks, that is very helpful, but it still doesn't do all the things a toolbar could... but very neat!! :)
